But there are so many factors such as store size and location, length of client relationship, type of general purchase history, just to name 3...
I'm actually responding because I did get a Mini Kelly this year, in April.
These 3 factors by @periogirl28 generally sums it up. Sometimes if luck shines on you, you can even bring home a mink kelly 2 in a much coveted colour with just about 1:1.5 spending without waiting. No harm trying in Europe

I can’t answer for @addiCCted meant and original poster can answer best. For me, established client is someone who is a long term client and doesn’t need to count prespent to obtain a bag (any bag), that client buys what they like, and is not counting their 1-1 or 1-5 pre-spent to be offered a bag.
But what if you intend to be a long-term client AND also can't help but track now that you know the metric exists?

truth! I didn’t know about tracking until I read here. Then I tracked for a couple of months and gave up. Truth be told, I never expected to be a long term client-didn’t really grasp the concept- I go to stores buy what I love and buy across brands (and also used/resell of clothing etc). I realize at least from my perspective, H sees me as a recurring long term client. There have been lengths of time when I do not shop/pass by, then other times when I go more often to purchase. I take breaks across brands then I return when I see something I like.

I think that @periogirl28 has said it best. So many variables that tracking prespend becomes inconsistent. To put it in perspective, I had no “prespend” for a SO recently. I had purchased a birkin a week or so before-after not buying for over 6-8 months. I am had accumulated prespend from the prior year I suppose.

All I know from my H experience, is that the moment I didn’t think of spending to “qualify” then it because easy. I have a wonderful SA who is a pleasure to visit. I do not do gifts or food. I spend when I go. Hope this lengthy message helps. Enjoy the shopping and buy what you love

IMHO the reality is that all H clients who love the brand want a QB or 2 or more. I highly doubt that anybody who spends 5-7 figures on Hermes would not own a few QBs.
There's a whole thread of people who are not interested in Birkins and Kellys. (I tried searching but can't find it.) I'm sure people like the RTW or homewares or jewelry without wanting one of those bags, and you can easily spend 5 figures on one purchase there. (I'm leaving equestrian out because that is totally different, but I personally know someone, a rider, who buys only Hermes saddles and gear, is high six-figure spend, and does not own a single Hermès bag.)

Yeah, as someone who has shopped across a number of brands over the years but is relatively new to H, I definitely prefer this kind of method! As someone who tracks spending relatively closely, though, once I heard people were tracking their pre-spend ratios, well, it was kind of hard for me to resist.

Any idea on ratio spend on special edition bags? Recently purchased a blue box push item but want to know if I spent too much for that offer

I think this is impossible to answer as stated since this very much depends on where you are & what the item is.

Many countries do not work on a per-item spend ratio so it’s impossible to say how much someone specifically spent for one item. And of course not all blue box items are the same.

I’d say that generally speaking, if you want to sort of gauge how hard an item is to get you can look at what markup said item commands on the reseller market. The higher the markup the harder it is to get, which probably means a “stronger” profile is needed to be offered one in store. Of course, as always the case with Hermes, your specific situation can vary and there are always exceptions. It’s not hard science.

Truly an impossible question to answer. Some "blue box" items are harder to place with clients as @GabrielleS mentioned. Everyone's relationship and experience is different. Enjoy your bag and please don't stress about it. If you are happy with your purchase that is the most important thing.

Thanks for all the feedback! Actually I received a B rock in size 25. Already hoping for another possible blue box QB for 2024. as much as possible, I’m trying not to “overspend.” Hoping for either a picto kelly or picnic mini next :flowers:
Congratulations on your new bag. Do you mind sharing the pre-spend ratio for this bag?
