Spend threshold for B/K/C

Yup! That’s why I was thinking about going to Topanga to try my luck with a little spend to get another QB but I didn’t want to upset my SA or jeopardize our relationship so I didn’t go :P. However, next month hubby and I will go to Waikiki and stay at the Airbnb just 5 minutes walk from Hermès so I don’t know what will happen then hahahahah…
Good luck! We just got back and I couldn’t make myself go. I was thinking about the Paris-hunt all over again and got stressed

I don’t think the spend had to do with first or second qb per se but more with the specs of the bag?
You are probably right bcuz my SA kept saying gold on gold is extremely popular and that’s what everybody wants. She also said that my request was very specific so it was very hard. Unlike the 1st QB I just requested a neutral color with gold hardware and then she just asked me if she had that the black B30 rose gold hardware will I take it. So I guess black was easier than gold on gold especially B25.

Yes, I’m in the US. Thanks for sharing your experience. I feel better now. And I truly believe the relationship is important. Sounds like you have a wonderful SA!
Hi, i agree with @Bdbunny too. I never discussed prespend with my SA. I received my first qb at barely 1:1, then received my second qb within a year. Then within 2 months I received a Constance. I never asked about how much I should spend, etc. I just buy what I like and gave my SA a list of bags that I am currently eyeing. I am also not very specific on my color and hardware choices, she knows I prefer neutrals over color. I feel like when you discuss prespend etc, it makes it sound like you only want qbs.

Has anyone gotten a mini Kelly this year and wouldn’t mind sharing their spend/item breakdown?

I’m very curious what the expectations are lately
But there are so many factors such as store size and location, length of client relationship, type of general purchase history, just to name 3...
I'm actually responding because I did get a Mini Kelly this year, in April.

I think @periogirl28 nailed it. While this thread is always interesting to read, it's all anecdotal. So you can't draw any specific conclusions from other spending patterns, because it depends on so many variables, some of which you can control, some of which you can't. Healthy spending is always going to help, but beyond that, it depends on what your store gets in, how competitive it is, how you vibe with your SA, how much pull your SA has, how often you stop by, etc.

All of that to say, I wouldn't really worry about specific item breakdown. Just buy what you enjoy and want/need.

A MK is for sure going to be a competitive bag. I just got one as a second QB (although my SA did get me a SO slot a few months ago between the first and second), but I also got a C a few months ago as well. Because of that, I think it becomes difficult to put any precision on the total spend that I had to get the MK itself. In other words, it's not an exact science, and more of a 'go with the flow'.

thanks!! Great points! Just was curious if bc it has been so coveted, people would say oh you need to definitely spend X.

This is good news to me

People will say that, but it doesn't mean it's true  FWIW I was also offered a mini Kelly this spring and definitely no kind of massive spend required there

I think the pre-spend might be more applicable to newer customers than those with established relationships. For the latter, I find that bag offers tend to rely more on how well they know you, your style, and how the relationship is overall, rather than how much you spend. Just my experience though.
I wonder if there’s still some kind of minimum spend though for an established client ?

What do u mean by established?
What do u mean by established?
I can’t answer for @addiCCted meant and original poster can answer best. For me, established client is someone who is a long term client and doesn’t need to count prespent to obtain a bag (any bag), that client buys what they like, and is not counting their 1-1 or 1-5 pre-spent to be offered a bag.
I do not count what I have spent when I am offered a bag and while I do not consider myself a “long term client”, I am an “Hermes client” who buys accesos categories items only that I love. I do not buy everything offered, even when it’s SO. I am particular to houseware, glassware, and some jewelry. I have found very few items in rtw that I would like to own Buy what you love, bags WILL follow. Do not expect a bag at 1-1. SAs know if you are buying to get a bag…it’s their job to know. They know who will be a long term client— I have been told in the past that I am the type of client H is interested in developing a relationship with. (I buy only what I love).
