After a long break, I did my first shopping this summer at FSH, where I bought a belt and a bandana. On the same day, I was offered a Picotin 18 at Sévres.

That week, I bought five dessert plates from Sévres, and since they didn't have one in stock, it was ordered, but no payment was taken. Later, I also bought a tea cup. As far as I remember, I didn't buy anything else. That week at FSH, I was also offered a Constance Elan.

Both bags were presented to me as walk-ins.

This week, I was in Paris. First, I picked up my ordered plate from Sévres. After that, I tried to get an lottery appointment every day, but unfortunately, it was unsuccessful. The day before my last day, I bought a belt, a T-shirt, a cashmere scarf, and a cashmere jacket at FSH. The SA mentioned that she asked to permission from SM but just because I had bought two bags this summer, I wouldn't be able to be offered another bag, but they hinted that there might be something for me after December.

The next day, I walked into Sévres just to try things on. I managed to get an appointment. The leather desk first reviewed my profile. I only asked for a Kelly, but the SA who took over my appointment didn’t even look at my profile and simply said they didn’t have any.

I'm happy to have gained experience.

I still have a silk blouse and a wool cardigan on my list.

If I talk about after Constance Elan, I spent €7,125 on my travels this fall. My goal is a Kelly 25 Sellier. I think on my next trip, my spending after Constance will be 1:1. I hope to receive an offer.
I had the same experience, I went to Fsh and bought a boot, a sneaker, a belt, a calvi card holder and total 4400 euro. Sa offered me a non qb and I was asking a mini Lindy but was told Lindy is a qb. I was surprised Lindy is qb in paris.

might need to go in more often till you get the bag. I think the spend is fine but youre not around often enough when the bag drops and I don't think your sa is going to remember you need a bag until you go in. Like @acrowcounted 1k everymonth is better than 6k every 6 months esp since you already reached your spend
So you are at 60k prespend over approximately 3 years? Are you asking for a very specific combination or rare bag? This prespend is sadly probably in line with norms since it’s over three years but I’m surprised they haven’t offered you *something* as a gesture of good will. You might want to try visiting more often, even if you still spend the same amount (ie $1k every month rather than $6k once every six months). Being in person and available to purchase on the spot often works in one’s favor as a known client.

Thank you for your insight! Ok I might try that. I think I’m kind of reaching the point where I’ve purchased most things I’d like to purchase and don’t realty want to purchase things just for the sake of reaching prespend.

Don't they just say that so that they don't offer you that bag? I'm sorry and I hope you get better luck next time.
My reading of the experience shared in TPF is that we just don't get bag when they don't give us, hard to interpret if it's rule or stock availability.

Hello, wondering if I can get your advice on prespend for a Birkin and if this is common or if I should try to find a new SA.

I’ve been shopping at the Beverly Hills boutique for about 4 years now buying items I enjoy - scarves, rose gold bracelets, necklace, shoes, belts, wallets, a watch and probably spent about 20k a year. I’ve only been offered one K25 and picotin after my first year of shopping there (which was in 2021). I haven’t had any offers since, although he keeps on mentioning I’m next to get the bag on my list every time I visit (about once every 3-4 months). I know this is a competitive store, but is this out of the norm for prespend?

Thank you!
BH has been my home store for over a decade. The last 4 years have been incredibly competitive if you are interested in leather QBs. The last few months have been very busy and my SA admitted that is busier than ever. Although you have adequate spend if your spend is at $60k, I believe it may be the amount of spend per visit that may be the issue. I tend to advocate going to BH less often and spend judiciously at each visit. I only buy what I love, but I buy for myself, my 2 girls and I love A LOT of the RTW. Re: bags, I have no wishlist. After I have chosen the RTW, my SA typically surprises me with a bag offer that I will accept or decline. What has worked for me is to go in when invited, and not to waste their time just browsing and hemming and hawing about stuff to buy. When I do come to just browse, I will call and let him know that I will be bringing dear friends to play dress up. Invariably, I will make a second appointment to buy the things me and my friends picked out while browsing. Going in just so SAs don’t forget you, being indecisive about purchases and then reminding them you are due for a bag is just so….. counterproductive.

Alternatively, are you requesting bags that are difficult to obtain because the colors are not in production or some other limitation? In any event, I wish you good luck and hope you get the bag of your dreams.

Thanks for your feedback on your experience at BH.

I have a few bags on my wishlist (neutral colors but not specific on any one color or leather). I go about once every 2-3 months because I live about an hour away without traffic and have a little one at home. The last few times I’ve gone, I’ve purchased a rose gold bracelet at one visit and a few scarves, cups, and wallet at another visit. The SA had mentioned to me that it has gotten very competitive the past few years too.

Hi .. not sure if this is the right forum . apologies if not .. but if I spend in Milan Italy , will this count for prespend in paris and visa versa ? Tia
No, they don’t have access. In both places they can only see the specific country information and prespend, the online French store, and the online Europe store. I think they might be able to see anything you buy online in Europe. If you had account online for the UK, they would probably see it there as well.

Just my 2cents while reading about this… sometimes rules change at Hermes very quickly and they don’t give any heads up… the sa might have given you information that was correct at that point but it changed later
Anyway, you got 2 very beautiful bags and l like your attitude towards the whole issue
I heard from SA at FSH that sometimes the rules change day by day there. One day they can offer 2 bags (a QB and NQB) on a certain profile, the other day they might not be able to offer any QB in that same profile, and only one NQB.

of course talk to your SA, but your prespend sounds low IMO. There is probably a figure that will manifest QB #2, but it probably varies significantly depending on one’s tenure; location; circumstance; whether other longer standing, higher spending clients have spent more and are still waiting; and, of course what one is asking for.
I was wondering the same, when they say 2 qb a year, how to get a second one. I was told they want to keep as many clients happy, so one qb last year. I supposed you have to spend a lot for a second qb.
