for perspective for others reading this my pre spend for my first QB was just about $30k (no other bags in that number). While I don’t think it had to be so high, I think I could have had a bag sooner, I do think that it’s getting harder and harder so like I said, perspective.

I do believe it is very hard nowadays, but I’m a person that doesn’t give up and have faith that I will get a bag . I hope all of us score our dream bags soon !
Is your ask still going to be a pastel pink mini Kelly with GHW?
I’m not interested in mini kelly or Kelly bags in general. I’m only interested in purchasing B30 in any pastel pink in Phw 💖
Interesting how quickly preferences change. But this time its for the better as a B30 is easier. Though pastel pink may be difficult as I think the common pastel pink shades mostly come in epsom/madame which would lend itself more to a Sellier bag (unless you are open to a B30 Sellier, of course) Good luck!
My honest opinion ! I’m open to any pastel pink bags in PHW/epsom. No swift leather lol fingers are crossed. I’m going to enjoy the ride and not be so frustrated/desperate this time around ! lol 😆

You've already received some great advice/wisdom from @880 and @acrowcounted and @textilegirl so I'll just add that regardless of whether your 'spend' is sufficient, it's entirely possible that you'll be offered a bag (or multiple bags) that are not of interest to you. If you drop that 'big cash' and you're not particular about what 'quota' bag you accept, you may well have a second 'quota' bag by year end. But if you are more selective it could take time. I do not track how much money I spend at H, but I was offered ~6 so called 'quota' bags between August 2022 when I purchased my first B from my SA and April 2024 when I purchased my second B.

For reference, I am open to all leather type, prefer not to be epsom. I would like another K25. I am only interested in darker neutrals and ghw (such as noir, vert amande, vert cypress). I am still relatively new to Hermes, I’d love to have your thoughts on color recommendations!!!

true - with H, let fate decides is not a bad idea because there are no bad colors! I prefer k25 sellier, but debating if I should add k28 retourne to my wishlist, this will guarantee a different type of leather , other than epsom
If you wont accept epsom leather, a Sellier Kelly is going to be a difficult ask. Your other non-exotic options will be Madame (which is basically epsom), Box, Tadelakt, and chèvre, which are each exceedingly rare. Box would be the most likely, if you're okay with that leather, but even still its probably a big ask. Retourne would definitely be easier.

Is it a smaller size bag? My SA mentioned that smaller size QBs are harder to get.
