The real answer is no US boutique will assuredly get you a B25 quickly and easily with little prespend these days. That being said, user @hbr just got a beautiful blue jean B25 in Austin Texas with reportedly only $3k spend so I guess I would say to go there!
I may be thinking of another member, but I thought @hbr did have a substantial history with another US store, perhaps CA? Perhaps she will see these tags and respond here (with corrections if my memory is faulty)

IMO, that may make it easier when moving one’s custom to a second location within the US. The second store can be somewhat assured that one is a bona fide client and not likely to stop shopping after the first offer. And if one’s profile is strong enough, it can be a win going forward for all parties.

I have heard/read that new clients can have an easier time getting first bags. But I assume that there is something about their SA relationship or profile that suggests this would only be the start of a fruitful relationship. Ultimately, I do think relationship matters. And, for many of us, that translates into going to the store and buying things you love. If not, I would suggest that reseller bags, as the prices go down, would actually save money in the long term

Hi! I’m happy to chime in here. As both of you mentioned, yes, I have an extensive profile with stores throughout the US, particularly one in Los Angeles. I recently switched and my new SA has been more than generous with the current B 25 offer that I received. I do think it’s a combination of having a profile, being in the right store, not competitive, and really having a good comfortable relationship with your sales person. I was at my Los Angeles store for years and was never offered a quote bag merely because I wasn’t a big spender. However, with this new store, although I’m out of state, they appreciate my business and my loyalty and have responded to my requests accordingly.

I do also think that if you have a particular quote bag in mind and you are not interested in all that Hermes has to offer, going the route of a reputable reseller and getting exactly what you want might actually save you money in the long run. Hope this helps!

“Easiest” would likely be Madison or BH where they get the most stock. These also are highly competitive with almost every big spender wanting small bags so they likely get allocated immediately. Since you said wishlist of shoes, that’s likely not going to get you into consideration by the SM to grant you such a highly sought after bag. I’d recommend looking at the reseller route

@hbr is this Austin? That would work perfectly for me actually! I don't live there but go there frequently.

The other option I was thinking was the Cuffs Cleveland area location.

Should I go with Austin and try there?

Yes, it’s Austin :)
If you go there often, it may be worth your time. Obviously there are no guarantees and I think everyone’s experience is different even within the same boutique, but it’s definitely worth a try! Good luck 🧡

BH is highly competitive. If you’re looking for minimal spend, that’s not your store.

But the trade off is that BH and Madison get much more stock than other stores. With little spend, you’re hoping for luck. Say client comes in and declines a B25. You hit it off with the SA and they happen to ask the manager whether they can sell you the bag because it’s no longer allocated. That’s the luck factor. At a smaller store, client A declines the bag, the manager is going to hold onto it for clients b, c and d since they likely will not get another for some time and smaller stores cater to their local clientele where Madison and BH are much more transactional.

This is true however, BH has a lot of people looking for a one time QB and not wanting to play the long game. So, although they have more stock they hold it for their loyal clients. I spent a lot of time and money trying at BH and the SA had other clients who were higher on the list due to their spend. I have many friends who have the means to spend more and have been very successful at BH so I know how things work at this store.
Easier is relative. Two good friends are VIPs at BH and madison respectively, and I think both Maisons tend to focus on relationships.

i don’t think the average prospective client with low spend will end up with a coveted bag offer from either location.

JMO though, and of course there are always exceptions to every rule
Agree 100%. There’s always a chance to get lucky but I wouldn’t hold my breath at BH.

I have been told my S.A. at Madison with who I only shop very occasionally for things that are exclusive to Madison that they allocate Q bags to in person/in town buyers only. I never expected an offer from Madison due to low spend there but this was a casual conversation we had.

When we shopped at Madison, the SA told us in store shopping was top priority. Thus the reason for my comment about luck at Madison. If you’re there and there is an unallocated bag, you have a chance. Not a great one but a chance nonetheless.
