Heidi learning Martial Arts because she can't afford bodyguards

Heidi Montag’s life may have seemed charmed during her days on The Hills, but the reality TV star revealed a darker side of fame in a recent exclusive interview with RadarOnline.com. Montag says that the attention can often be more overwhelming than flattering and she recently schooled herself in martial arts to learn ways to protect herself.
“I can’t afford security, so I practice self defense and chain punching,” Heidi explained to RadarOnline.com.
Though she used to have a posse of bodyguards on hand, she and husband Spencer Pratt have fallen on learner times. “I have spent millions in security in the last 4 years because I had to take care of the cost all on my own. It’s crazy and it’s hard, but life is not always fair.
“I have had to change my life. I can’t afford to go out to the clubs anymore because the sort of protection I need can cost anywhere from 5 to 10 thousand dollars a night...when you travel it’s even worst, because you need to cover the guards travel, food lodging, etc., and pay them. That is actually where all my money went because safety is number one.”
Besides cutting costs, Heidi has enjoyed the burst of independence from her practice.
“It gives me a confidence I didn’t have before,” she added. “I am doing this self defense because it gives me inner strength, and I feel safe in my home. It’s a deterrent, but I know I can’t do what the body guards do.”
Heidi has been training to become a black belt in Wing Tsun with her trainer (SIFU) Michael Casey who explained that “the system is geared straight towards self defense, so there are no rules. Punches, kicks, knees, elbows, ground fighting, strikes to vital areas. Anything goes as the goal of the system is to stop an opponent.”
“It is scary to be out there without protection, people do follow me and you can never be to careful,” Heidi added.
“It’s overwhelming, and it’s most difficult when I’m in large groups of people.”
The beautiful reality star said that while it takes years to perfect the ancient Chinese martial arts form, she has been practicing for about 6 months and realizes she has a long way to go.
“I’m not ready to go out alone yet...I’m only 5ft 2inches tall and have a small frame so I understand I can’t completely do it alone. Which is why I don’t go out as much anymore.
“Half the reason I am laying low and staying to myself is because I don’t have that security like I used too, and you never can predict what will happen.”

^whom exactly is she afraid of? I mean, she lives with Spenser! Just what does she think will happen to her, I see pics of celebs out on their own, if only to drive somewhere or to go to the store. Even when she's broke her egos still big

Yes, it's hard to feel sorry that poor Heidi spending millions on security.
Sorry there are lots of famous people that must go out without a full security force in tow.
Heidi and Spencer just want the glamor of travelling with a large paid posse.

And for not going clubbing anymore - I remember Spencer saying they never attended any clubs without being paid big.
I bet no one wants to pay them to come to their clubs anymore, so that means they don't go out.

To me she looks completely blank, like her face has been erased. She has removed all the character and individuality from her features and no longer has any distinction to her face. Doll-like definitely, in the sense of being kind of plastic and interchangeable. :sad:

Correct Is she an adult? I'm sure Spencer went to all this appt's with her and from my understand(her words) he didnt want her to do this.. So if she truly didnt understand what was going on she would have said no and Spencer would have put his foot down.. She went ahead doing them even tho she knew Spencer didnt want her to do them ... so I really dont think a doc pushed her into doing it... Again he's not here so we only have one side regardless of *said emails* they can be doctored.. we have no proof those are legit.

Heidi and Spencer planning another fake split

Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt are so shameless (and broke), they're reportedly planning another fake in the New Year.
In the past few months they've realized that no one really cares about them anymore and their star power died out a while ago, so they're going to try to stage another breakup in hopes of getting some press or another magazine cover.
A source close to the situation said, “He’ll cook up these schemes as long as he and Heidi continue to be paid. They’re telling anyone who’ll listen how seriously they’re taking their marriage.
“Their every move is calculated to earn money. But what they don’t realize is people are sick of it.”
So expect to see paparazzi videos and photos of them getting into a screaming match in public followed by another "we're splitting" scheme.
My theory is after they fake the split they'll pretend Heidi is pregnant and now has to be a single mom.
