Speedy Epi 25, Silver or Gold hardware ?

Hi all,

Need your advise on the Speedy 25 Epi Leather.
I'm considering getting one , but I'm confused about the hardware.
The LV site shows a silver hardware but when I looked elsewhere , like in
My Poupette, there's one with a gold hardware. So which one's correct ? Does it come with 2 different hadware ? I've loads of Monograms & Damier LV , This is the 1st time I'm getting an Epi.

Oh by the way , I'm not exactly a newbie here ,I somehow can't login to TPF with my old acct.

The newer Epi bags -- like the last 3-4 years I think -- all have silver hardware. Older Epi has gold hardware.

Until either 2004 or 2006, almost all of the epi had gold hardware. Now it's silver. With some colors, I like the gold better, but the silver is very modern with most of the newer colors (still don't really like it with the ivory, but it looks great with cassis or black).

They changed due to tarnishing of the gold hardware.

I SO preferr the silver hardware, it looks alot better IMO. The old speedys look like the hardware is dirty and mucky -NOT a good look.
(The moka and the lilac had palladium hardware, which look fine too)

I prefer the silver.

I only prefer silver on black and cassis.

If you do a search, you will find that info that there are two kinds of hardware colors. Good luck!
