I didn't either. I do worry about the lettering too. Not sure why they did it that way. I usualy try to be kinda careful but I know it won' stay perfect and it's not suppose to. I think the exterior pocket is great too. I just have to get past the no feet. I don't mind it on my DE Speedy cause it' canvas but I think that leather bags should have them. I'm thinking about noir. I like blue but not sure about the red trim on the marine rouge. My Speedy already has the red interior and I don't have a nice black bag.
Thank you again.
I wouldn't worry too much about the lettering coming off though. I have two Soft Lockits which also have the lettering. It's been fine on both of those. The Noir is a beautiful bag.

My vote is for the Empriente leather. I own a Petite Epi Noe and although I love the bag, I do find the leather is stiff. I think the Empriente leather will age well whereas the Epi does seem to get dull over time.

Honestly, when the NM was released I didn't care for it. The Speedy Empreinte is pretty much my go to bag, and I have it in many colors. My husband bought me the new one in the Mastic color. I have grown to love it and have added two more. I love the exterior pocket. I know some people worry that the printing will flake off, but I have not had that happen. If you look at this thread post #22 I put up a picture of my Galet which I have carried more than any other bag I own. No issues with embossing fading. I do still miss the feet on the NM!
How has your mastic speedy worn? Any issues w transfer or rubbing of corners?

I have had no issues at all. No corner wear or color transfer. I do rotate bags regularly, so I can't speak to what it would be like if I carried it every day. It's a beautiful color! I'm so glad to have it as many of my original model's were recalled due to the melting glazing issue. My Galet being one of them. HTH.

Hi! May I ask about your Galet OM and the glazing issue?
Did they offer reglazing or exchange and what did you choose?
Do you still have the empriente speedy? If yes, which one and how does it wear?
I’m looking for preloved empriente speedy and wonder is it still worth hunting

Hi, my Galet Speedy was part of a group of bags that were "recalled" due to defective glazing. I sadly had many that were affected. In my case the glazing was not as bad as many that I have seen. The worst seemed to suffer melting which I can only think must have been in warmer climates than I am in. Mine was soft and you could see indents in places where objects had pressed against the glazing. They did exchange my defective bags and I chose to take store credit which I redeemed on a Crocodile City Steamer. A bag I would have never purchased had it not been for that opportunity!

I did choose to repair a couple that were special colors that had been discontinued. The repairs took quite a while to complete. As to whether or not you should purchase a preloved, that's a hard call for me. I can't remember exactly (you could search on topic) but I seem to remember that the defective bags were manufactured between 2013-15. If you find one that you can see the date code and it's not in those years I would get one. I still have several and love them. I rotate bags almost daily and none of mine show the wear or softening of the embossing some people have experienced. I have no idea if LV would repair a bag you purchased on the secondary market at this point in time. I would think it would depend on your relationship with the store you work with.

HTH and best of luck!
