Probably not, but i would consider another speedy if i love this one. The only other style i really love is the pochette matis. The Alma is gorgeous but it doesn’t fit with my casual style and i don’t think it’ll suit me.
Thank you. IMO the vintage Epi Speedy hasn’t slouched at all, it keeps its shape. I am not fond of the new bandolier version of the Epi Speedy, I also like gold hardware and due to the structured leather I don’t like it with the strap. Plus a lot of what I’ve seen in tpf has been negative regarding how it wears. I’ve carried my Empreinte nearly everyday since I purchased it and the leather is still beautiful and has developed a nice slouch. To me it is the perfect CroSsbody or shoulder bag.
I own the OM empreinte and the epi, the empreinte has slouched a little, the leather has stretched around the handles and it's losing the embossing. The epi is getting some dents after using it for a couple of months.
The new epi leather is thinner than it used to be, my epi Alma doesn't have any dents and I've used it a lot more.
I will probably end up selling both and keeping only my canvas Speedys
On the new empreinte, I'm not crazy about the mix of leathers and the gold stamp on the front chips and fades.
Both bags are beautiful, I knew of these issues before I bought, I still wanted to own them, I'm glad I got them but regret the purchase a little
Not trying to be negative, just sharing my wear and tear so you go into this purchase with your eyes wide open.
Since you prefer gold hardware maybe try the empreinte... gld!

Appreciate the honesty. Do you tend to use the handles to carry mostly? Yes I use the handles mostly, I try to use the strap more to avoid more stretching around the handles

Just for reference (and to see if it helps!) this is a picture of my Speedy Empreinte in Galet that I bought when we remodeled our master suite over 2 years ago. I had to store all of my bags for almost a year, so this one was used every day for that year. It also makes it into a regular rotation because I love the neutral color. As you can see, the embossing is still great and it shows very little wear. Hope it helps!

Keep in mind that she has the OM which is why the leather near the handle stretched. The NM doesn’t have this issue.
Yes Epi might keep the shape more, but you will definitely enjoy wearing this bag in empreinte more. So longer time but less enjoyment, or shorter time but more enjoyment? Like life, we have to make the decision.
Based on this I think you would enjoy the empreinte Speedy. I also love Chole and the Speedy is more structured than my Marcie and not as structured as the Paraty. The Speedy molds slightly to my hip when worn on my shoulder and doesn’t feel bulky. It’s not as slouchy as the canvas version. The only Epi item I own is an Alma BB which I love and think this is the perfect shape for a well structured bag. I think the Epi Speedy would be great handheld. Good luck!
Blush nude Marcie is my summer bag of choice. So beautiful! A little slouch is definitely what I’m after so seems like the empreinte is the one for me
Shorter time and more enjoyment i think! My Mulberry Daria which is my currently everyday bag is on its last legs, poor girl! I have just never found something i love enough to fully replace her. Until now! She’s given me 8 years and still gets chosen over all my Chloe and Mulberry beauties. Time to move on
