Hi Debbie. Do you know if this affects the color of that area eventually? I haven’t had this issue before and just got the bag yesterday and fresh from the box!

I'm not sure as it all depends what the issue is. Have you tried wiping it off? If you have and it's still there my thinking is it's a scrape. Canvas and leather can scrape and remove color. You could try adding a dab of leather conditioner on it to see if it helps, it shouldn't be an issue as it is not vachetta. I do put a light leather conditioner on my DE Speedy 25 from time to time and have not had any issues. Imo it doesn't look that noticeable. If it's not a big deal to you I would think it wouldn't get any worse unless you scrape it. I don't believe it will change color on its own.

Hi. I exchanged this bag today. My SA was not there so another SA assisted. Very unfriendly, however I do not care as I want to exchange to a new bag. I was so tempted to buy a perfume but I didn’t as the current SA was sort of hostile because of the exchange 😅

I brought my brand new speedy 20 de with me to my Japan trip. I’ve used it for 8 days and was shocked to see how battered it has become. I’m sure I don’t abuse it but I do carry it crossbody the whole time.

Nope. I’m also aware of how to place the bag when it’s on me and tried my best to minimize any possible abrasion like going in out of taxis, trains and places. Mostly just carrying as how I normally would use a bag. Although I don’t put in too much effort to baby it, I’m sure I at least don’t treat it roughly to result in this state. I bought this bag to hopefully be carefree about it, but this doesn’t feel carefree at all to me.
Good to know, that's quite fast wear, weird, even my everyday LV bags don't show much wear. I also would go check on other speedy 20 users how's their bags looking now.
Wow that’s significant wear in a short period of time. I agree with everyone I would contact LV and hopefully they can help. It definitely shouldn’t rub off like that!!
I have the same bag and I toss that thing around and sit it on the ground and it doesn’t show any scuffs at all to the piping.

I feel for you girl!!! My heart would ache badly to see this bag wear like this. Bring it in to the store to your SA to ask them what they could do. It’s less than a year!!! I got a braided DE speedy that had a missing rivet suddenly… it was under one year so they repair it for me FOC since I brought it in before 1 year.
I really hope they could change the leather trim for you FOC. It’s probably a bad batch of leather trims. Only problem is to add a rivet it took them 3 months to fix that. So, to change the leather trims will probably take an even longer time for your bag to be away from you.
Nope not yet. I just came back from Japan yesterday 😂 I’ll only be able to make a trip to a LV store next week soonest.
