I suspect they will give a fixed timeline for the prespend, e.g. 85k for the past 3 years, instead of entire purchase history. Would also relieve the workshops to have more resources to fill up normal store inventory, since the usual complain is they don't have anything in stock.

It’s crazy that once your considered a serious client now and then they change the rules. I have few items in list that made in RG so I will add them and keep my spend increases.Do you know how exciting it was to reach the prespend this year? My DH will start to think I made up this threshold nonsense.
Oh well, it is what it is. I do have other items on my wishlist which already exist.
What’s funny is, I was thinking about a SO for some time before getting the courage to ask my SA. By the time I asked, they JUST implemented the prespend.

I feel like I will never reach threshold for MTO let alone SO. It sucks because I want more RG pieces but there are not enough RG options in the collection that I want. I'm not going to buy things I don't really love just to be able to reach MTO threshold so I'm kind of stuck. Maybe in a few years I will somehow get there 😂.
I agree - do not spend money on pieces you don’t love. They add new stones and pieces every so often, so hopefully there will be more RG that you fall in love with in the near future, and hopefully they are not waitlisted.
Insightful and would make sense. If something like this is the case, I’m not sure I personally would be able to spend 85k in a 3 year period, unless I was purchasing gifts for my nieces.
For me personally, I find when I buy my pieces back to back in a short time span, I end up not enjoying them as much. I’m sure not everyone has this problem

What I will never do is buy pieces with the intent to resell, just to reach their requirements.
You will eventually get there. Everyone starts off at 0. have gotten all the MTO RG items that I needed. These other items are on list it’s just matter of me committing to earring vs Ring. When it’s significant chunk of change I tend to pause when I’m unsure as mistakes are costly. What pieces are you looking for

I only purchase stone Alhambra pieces in RG or WG so I totally understand. When I first started my VCA journey there wasn’t a threshold for MTO and I ordered my 1st 5 motif Alhambra in wg onyx. The rest is history. If you’re interested in additional lines like Perlee or Frivole these purchases will boast your spend up quickly
My wishlist is pretty simple: RG onyx and RG WMOP 5 motif bracelets. I have the RG hammered bracelet and want another 5 motif to stack with it but don't like any of the RG ones that are available.

I have both and when I inquired about the RG MOP I didn’t have to wait as the boutique had one that someone rejected. Then they reordered one to have on hand. I would recommend letting your SA know you’re looking for it and maybe another boutique has it in inventory. Might get lucky.
It’s not out of the realm of possibility… When I placed my SO for the alternating RG/Chalcedony last year my SA strongly encouraged me to order all Chalcedony in RG or YG because he said the approval from Paris is easier for those. By the time I have it in hand, it will be about 2 years from when I ordered it! I don’t know what I would do if it became a MTO option! Cry for a second that I had to wait so long to have the SO made, and then be happy for everyone who can now get it quickly (since all of my MTOs are done in about 2 weeks so far!)!
I found the WG guilloche 20 motif to be quite heavy. Is the 10 a MTO or SO and is the pre spend limit the same for both with the usual 30% markup
It is a SO. Prespend may be the higher technically depending on your area but absolutely is higher in practice because Paris approves or not partially based on profile (where MTO does not need Paris approval, they are pre-approved combinations). However, 10 motif WG guilloche is a fairly standard modification request, so I don’t think it will be very hard to be approved if you qualify for SO once they reopen. Yes, price would be the same, I would expect half 20 motif +~30% (some of mine have been ~30% and some have been a little over ~40%).
I agree but I really like WG guilloché : I would prefer like you a 10 motif. I asked and it is SO but I think doable as I understood some people here got it in SO. Not MTO yet. Both anyway have 30% premium (plus the difference between WG and YG if you compare price with a YG price, but in your case it is already WG)
If you can try 2 bracelets (5 motif WG guilloché) put together do it at a boutique : try to figure if the weight is ok for you. I myself did it and my SA proposed to extend the bracelets (1 or 2 as you prefer) free of charge (max 4 cm each), but that means I wouldn't be able to wear them as bracelet anymore which I wouldn't like ... And of course you ll see the clasps. For myself, I tend to the idea of buying 2025 a bracelet to wear it as a bracelet. Hope they add the 10 motif in the near future. And if not I will maybe then add another 5 motif bracelet that either I will extend (only one of the bracelet then) or I will ad an 2-4 inch extender to wear them as necklace...
