I do remember seeing on here someone doing a two butterfly pendant (and maybe ring too?) in purple sapphires. So I would guess blue would be possible too!
The folie des pres ring in pink/purple is my HG, but it is SO BEAUTIFUL with blue! Kind of pricey though. Not sure your budget or what piece you're wanting.

Ooh that sounds interesting! I have a turquoise two butterfly pendant. Maybe could do matching earrings with sapphire and diamond or turquoise (would those blues clash though possibly). That ring is beautiful! I forgot the price but I know it’s a lot - maybe for a milestone birthday haha

I put everything from this thread that I liked in an album for reference - the purple butterfly is a quarter of the way down.

Thank you! It’s funny I was thinking this also in recent weeks (I have the clover right now in YG)…. WG with sapphires?! Although YG would be beautiful too - has anyone actually done it?!

I am also very invested in this answer haha. I've been thinking about yellow gold with rubies for many months

I kind of wish I thought of this before I got mine (that said, no regrets I love my bracelet as is!). But I was also thinking. It would look beautiful with sapphire, ruby too! I hope it’s possible 🤩

That would be fabulous!! My sis has those earrings they’re great. I don’t think I can pull of 3 motif, maybe 2 😉 my ears are not in great shape- took me 6 months to even get a single motif to fit somewhat well haha. But I was also wondering about frivole and sapphire instead of diamonds pave. I wonder if they would entertain these though!

What’s your take on blue sapphire mixed with turquoise?

It’s fun to think of all of these ideas, but please don’t regret the approved special orders that you placed or the pieces you purchased from the regular line. Remember that these more unusual combinations are rarely approved unless the client is very special or if the piece is very expensive. For high jewelry lines VCA is more willing to customize and many high jewelry pieces are actually not outlandishly expensive, based on the SO price points we are discussing. Another option perhaps.

Is the your birthstone sapphire, or just blue sapphire (or you only like blue sapphire)? Do you like any of the sapphire options in the regular line at all?

My birthstone is sapphire (sept) - I think it’s only blue to my knowledge. The folie de pres ring someone mentioned here I would be curious to try on actually - not sure if many other blue sapphire options (the perlee ring I would try too- I’ve tried it on in diamond and possibly ruby I can’t remember!).

I’m personally not in any rush to do this but it’s fun to get inspiration or ideas :) hoping my 2024 VCA shopping is a little more quiet than 2023 haha (or non existent! I’m actually in a happy place with my collection)
