Need some inspiration from you if you don’t mind, please: what do you put in your b35 on a daily basis? Work laptop and materials I get, but I’m struggling to see why I’d carry my b35 on a weekend day out, even though I’m dying to give it more use. Thanks!!
DH carries mine to dinner at friends… with up to 4 bottles of wine (cushioned with soft or squishable stuff like homemade focaccia . I used to have a Fauve barenia HAC 32 for the same purpose.

Titanium H08 (makes a nice travel watch as it’s pretty under the radar) ; all H men’s RTW* : knit short sleeved top; black cotton jeans with leather trimmed pockets; charcoal cargo pants; khaki plain pants, slanted trouser pocket; sac a depeches 21. Not shown: black chypres.

Last pic is DH in travel wear with a MtM navy cardigan and plain h pants (he also wears the rtw cardigan, but says the Mtm one is sleeker). Unlined suede boots with sneaker sole are mtm hiro yanagamachi (not a custom last). I’m wearing Hermes silk shirt; feutre tpm; 3X1 waxed jeans

ETA: * except for brunello t shirts and orlabar brown swim trunks (unlike Hermes or villbriquin (sp?) trunks, OB have fitted waists in men’s trouser sizes which he prefers to elastic. OB is owned by Chanel, IDKW

I have been on this thread since 2009  it has been fun and wonderful

Everything is indeed very well here! I have been out of the country often ever since covid is concluded… huge lifestyle changes and for the better and more fulfilled as well

I Have not been on here and posting for quite some time now, and I think it is time for me to bid farewell to all my fellow H lovers. I recently gave away the majority of my Hermes goods to my aunts/uncles and friends (most of my H clothes, watches, larger leather goods, whilst keeping majority of my small leather goods, sterling silver and rose gold jewelry pieces, non “belt kit” belts, and household items (porcelains etc).

My family and friends of course are more than happy to take over and enjoy them… and I am also very happy to see the H items are getting much better mileage than sleeping in my closet.

I will never stop appreciating the beauty of Hermès objet d’artes… but I think I will be moving on from H wearable to other things.

Hermes will always be the benchmark for elegance and design and I hope H will never lose her way… and never sell out stylistically.

Ta ta for now and please stay wonderful and elegant.

(That’s being said, I will be lurking once in a while to check out all the elegant people modeling H here ! )

My Hermes accessories du jour:

Citynews Messenger in Black Togo Leather and Rivale Double Tour bracelet in mallard blue swift leather. The Citynews has been my "everyday" bag of choice since 2020. I sometimes switch to the Steve Junior Light (a bit small) or the Evelyne GM (during the dry summer months because it is not waterproof). The togo leather on the Citynews looks as good as ever. I purchased the Rivale Double Tour in 2016. I barely wore it until recently

These 2 bags are just stunning. I didn’t know that they made an HAC 36 Potamos Birkin. I’ve always wanted to see this size and variation IRL. The B35 Club with Crinoline is amazing. Red is so bold for a guy. Not many can pull this off so hats off to you.
Thanks! In person and in canvas the red isn't as bright and it looks great. I was also a bit nervous about the red and generally shy away from bright colors thought it looks great in the canvas.

Earlier today the Assistant Store Manager contacted me to share that my Sales Specialist is no longer with Hermès and offered to connect me with a new Sales Specialist. Luckily, I am familiar with my new Sales Specialist. Has this ever happen to you?

It's devastating and scary. I visited the store last week and they shared the store has been quiet because they have not been selling as much. Possibly due to the economy and upcoming election.

I wonder why my former Sales Specialist is no longer with Hermès. Could it be that he was fired due to unprofessionalism or put out due to low revenue for this quarter?

All this conjecture is not helpful to you or us.
Staff do move on for many as many good legitimate reasons as bag ones like being dishonest - you do not know.

Your ASM could simply have contacted you as your previous SA had left and the ASM was just looking after the store's clients and ensuring a continuity of experience.

Quite honestly 'devastating and scary' is living in the middle east not a glitch in uber-luxury shopping.

My SA moved on from Hèrmes last spring…they shared their news with me at a previously scheduled appointment and introduced me to my new SA with whom I’d chatted in the past. A week or so later, the SM emailed me to let me know that my SA had left and that he’d be happy to connect me with a new SA. No big deal.

ETA: clearly the timing for me was such that my SA shared their news (they moved on to something they were excited about…career change) personally. It is much more likely that your SA simply got a new position/job than that they were fired or laid off.

Hi Everyone. Being often here but never actif, I need you help & professional opinion about nice new wallet from H. till now, I used to have like the MC Thales, the most classic of the classic men billfold wallet. and the Long Azap in Leather as a wallet & travel wallet where we can put a lot of things. for a new wallet , I was thinking about the Citizen Twill Long Combiné. which would be like in between of those two. some guys think it's too big to carry easily during daytime. some other say it's not big enough to put everything . Does anyone of you have it and if so, what are your feelings about it ? I think I would need a wallet easy both, for work & travel also. Thank you for your reply & Have a Nice Day, Tom

I have the citizen twill long wallet in swift, but I only ever use it for travel and only to destinations where I expect to also use cash because I like that you don’t have to fold the bills. The wallet is slim so fits fine in a chest pocket or in a small crossbody bag. Super practical and well made and definitely the best looking classic wallet from H imo :).

However, I have personally given up on buying new SLGs and actually in the process of downsizing my collection.
I just dont use wallets or see even card holders as relevant anymore. Most places are pretty cashless at this point and I cannot even remember when I last carried a wallet with me. Enough to throw a single card in my bag for emergencies.

The CT is quite an expensive piece so I would really first consider if you actually need such a big wallet with the bill and coin pockets. I guess a bonus feature is that you can kind of use it as a passport cover, why I have opted to keep mine for now.

Personally I would opt for a card holder like the new Iliad with the snap closure, but even that I have decided not to because it would just end up sitting in a drawer, unused.

J.T. Thank you so much for your kind & professional advice ! yes, it helps a lot. You are right : we use less & less the cash but sometimes , in some countries, we just cannot go without some coins. yes, even today. You have a very good idea about using the Long version as a passport cover also. I will check about the Iliad. Thank you again & Have a NIce Day ! Tom

I don’t have a citizen twill but have a Bearn long wallet which is similar. Very spacious, organizes my everyday carry, and the bill slots fit US currency perfectly (I prefer other wallets for Euros) As others have said, not having to fold bills keeps it slim if you want to carry on your breast pocket. I recommend having a separate coin pocket because it can get bulky quickly.
