Group shot…

Finally picked up the Andy 26 belt in swift leather. Absolutely love the buckle, the texture and the perfect width for me.

While browsing the store I couldn’t resist also getting a scarf for winter, but I really didn’t want anything too “horsy” (yes I see the irony dealing with an equestrian brand) or loud so was thrilled to find something more muted.

Never posted, but got the Fabourg party pocket square earlier this summer (for a party  and it’s the nicest pop of colour. Had it in constant use with my suits, hence a bit crumpled.

Lastly, scored a Bastia in box leather on the H website a while ago that I use as a pouch for pills and plasters in my bags.

Will post mod shots next time I wear the pieces. Thanks for letting me share.
Love the Andy belt. Thanks for letting us know it is seasonal.

So my question is for those having a Maxi: do you use it on daily basis? Is it really too heavy?
@PolM - How tall are you? I am about 170cm and the bag is too heavy (even when it is empty). It also looks too big sometimes on the pictures. I thus rarely use it. (I have not used it in the past 4 months.) I have 3 other Kelly bags (i.e., Kelly Depeches 36; Kelly Messenger GM and PM sizes) and I use them more often. But my daily bag for work now is Birkin 35. If you ask me if I would buy Maxi Kelly again, my answer is a solid "no."

What would be the alternative? Kelly 40? I am really in doubt, because what I love of the Maxi is that the handle is chunky and I see a more unisex look.

What do you think?
I would probably say Kelly 40 or Kelly 35 depending on your build. (By the way, My Kelly 42 is actually Kelly 40 by measurement, lol.) Is there a reason not looking for a Birkin 35? (For myself, I am done buying Kelly bags, but am hoping to get 2 more Birkin 35 bags.) Feel free to PM me for additional info or chats because I don't engage in the discussion on this Forum anymore.

I have a maxi Kelly in gold that I have honestly only used once - a beautiful bag but it is heavy and the trapezoidal shape limits how much I can put in it (I’m thinking of selling it).
@travelguy2500 - I totally agree with you. As you know, I had been trying to sell it, but I still have it. haha! By the way, I see you have your strap updated for your Maxi Kelly. I will PM you for more details on that!

I bring to you today… another restoration

I’ve only ever owned Citizen, Bulova, Fossil, and a few stainless Apple Watch Hermes so far.

The longer I rocked an Apple Watch for daily wear, the more “wrong” it felt. I decided it was time to upgrade, so I checked out some of the more popular luxury brands. I realized I’m not going to get the watch I’d like for the price I’d like to spend, so I expanded.

I eventually happened upon a post on Reddit and I absolutely fell in love with the Hermes Arceau. The blue hands sold me, and I love the funky upside-down 6.

I discovered there’s a standard quartz movement version of this watch along with an automatic ETA 2892 movement. I found a seller in North Wales selling this Automatic, so I got it for a price I’m very happy about.

I cleaned it up well, polished out the deeper scratches with a dremel, followed up with cape cod cloths, then brought out the final brilliance with a jewelry cloth. I transferred the Hermes deployment clasp hardware over to a $10 alligator-embossed Bisonstrap for now as I await the arrival of my real straps.

Need some inspiration from you if you don’t mind, please: what do you put in your b35 on a daily basis? Work laptop and materials I get, but I’m struggling to see why I’d carry my b35 on a weekend day out, even though I’m dying to give it more use. Thanks!!

Sure. I don't really put a lot in my B35. I usually leave my laptop in the office, so I rarely carry it unless I have to travel outside the town. I just have multiple documents, planner, and some basic toiletries in the insert organizer (from Samorga or elsewhere). All the materials can easily fit into Kelly Messenger GM also. But K Messenger GM is more of a weekend bag for me when I need to go to the New York City, for example.

Kelly Depeches 36 would also have been my everyday bag, but it is too slim and cannot carry a lot of documents. Hope this helps! :)

Thanks. So you (and other gentlemen here) don't put your "essentials" like wallet and phone into the b35, right?

Seems unweldy to put those into a bag for when you need to have access to them, but at the same time, part of my struggle is that when I carry a bag, I'm trying to avoid having the profile of these items in my pants pockets.

Not a guy but when I carry my B35, I totally put my essentials (wallet & phone) in it…often women’s clothing does not accommodate a phone or wallet and, if it does, I don’t want the profile either. Not a big deal to access my phone or wallet as I leave my Birkin ‘open’ as a tote.

ETA: I always use an organizer in my B35 so I know just where to find my wallet or phone.

I carry my essentials in B35, B40, and HAC 40. I leave it open at the top. No issues.

No.

Regardless of what the bag is, ideally that's where you put the essentials;
you accordingly select the bag from your collection that does that job best.

Some form of organiser is useful and you should always be mindful of security - so no Kellys with flapping flaps!

I fully agree.
I select my bags according to what essentials I need to carry with me for that day/evening.
But my phone and wallet goes always at minimum in my bag. There is just no point for me to carry a bag and at the same time to put phone and wallet in my jacket or trousers etc… horrendous idea. Lol
