Question: Do you think B40 would be too big for me? Pics attached when I tried B40. Compared to Kelly Depeches 36 (=36 cm) as shown in my earlier posts, would 40cm be too big? I am between 5'6 or 5'7. I thought length and height of B40 were great, but the width was very wide...? Any suggestions for those who have B40 (or B35)? Will I end up getting both B35 and B40? LOL (I just need one bag... lol) Thank you in advance!
I’m slightly taller than you at 5’8 and I have both the 35 and 40. I think both are fine for your stature. It really just depends on what you’re putting inside and what you are using it for (i.e. travel or work). Also, bigger bags are coming back. I know someone has said this to you already so let me add this…i had my sister’s 32 HAC for some time (borrowed) and this was the perfect everyday tote. It was the perfect size because the height made it a bit more masculine. I would use that bag over the other 2 almost all the time….until she asked for it back. 😩 So now I’m in the hunt for one. As you probably know that these have been discontinued so i’d have to find it preloved. An even more rare find is the 36 HAC, which I hope to find/try one day. Good luck.

I am 5’9” and would get the 35. The 35 will look proportionate to your height. I hope that helps!

Same happened to me with SS24. Had to be reordered and now still waiting on some of them 🙄

DH style is top as always! Love the exotic belt!
Ditto - several preorders never arrived/disappeared. Ever so frustrating when you see it online and in stock but then try to support your SA and add to pre-spend only to be disappointed. ATM, if I really want it and see it online, I just buy it.

I think it looks fairly proportionate on you, but I would not go for a 40 unless you intent to use it for travel mostly.

I am probably similar height and build and while I do not own a B, I did try on a 35 in store, and found even that to be far too big for my needs.
I do can imagine it being the perfect briefcase / travel bag and larger everyday carry.

If I were you, I would be very mindful choosing any large tote and think carefully about how you intend to use it. I expect a B40 to get very heavy very quickly.
(I have an uomo cabat from BV that I use occasionally for work trips and it weighs about the same empty as a B40 would. Unlike a B, the cabat can actually slide onto my shoulder when not wearing a jacket but it’s still a total workout when I carry it.)

I suggest you aim for a 35 but personally I would definitely go for a 25 or 30 max for private use, but it would be for leisure as I would never carry H or any recognisable expensive bag to work or client meetings.

Happy hunting
I am 5'8" and have both a K42 and a B40 HAC. Both looks great and agree HAC is more of a travel bag/suitcase and honestly don't use it that often because the bag alone is pretty heavy and gets really heavy when you fill it. Fun to fill and easy when it goes to the car, from car to hotel, etc. but not something I would use when flying or having to walk long distances or as a daily work/living tote. K42 much easier with strap and the shorter stature of the baq fits my frame - it's wider but, IMHO, the taller bags have more of an affect on how they look (especially for shorter folks like me) than the wider bags.
