Question...
I am trying to decide between a B35 or B40. I have a HAC 40 which I love but can be a tiny bit too cumbersome for every day (although I use it often). I like the proportions of it, and I think it suits my frame (6 feet, 180 pounds), but would like something just a little smaller. Would appreciate any advice/opinions between the two sizes!

I am 5‘9 and for me the B35 felt tiny but others who saw the picture of me wearing it thought it was quite right.

So it’s really down to personal taste.

I would stick to the Birkin 40 if you’re 6 feet tall. The Birkin 40 will feel smaller than the HAC 40 since the shape is rectangular. I’m 5’9” tall and prefer the Birkin 35. Any bag over 15 inches looks oversized on my frame. I hope that helps!

My son mainly uses K40 and B35. He carries a lot of things… so Birkin, depending on the leather, can get quite heavy when stuffed. A huge reason why his B35 is in Vache Liegee. Kelly 40 works great for him even for business travel because it really looks like a briefcase with an additional should strap. I know you are only asking opinions on B40 but K40 and B40 are about the same size. Depending on where you go and what you often use your bags for, either can be a good option. For reference, he is 6ft and 160lbs. Hope this helps!

Yes, it does help a lot! Thank you! I agree on the weight. My HAC does feel like an arm workout after a little while!

I love that this thread exists. Beautiful bags and accessories are for everyone, regardless of gender! TPF is such an inclusive place and I adore it. @allanrvj, that jacket/necklace/jumper combo is effortless fire—& oh, did I miss mentioning the understated yet lush Hermès bag in gold? My bad. I’ve a friend who’d definitely want hair product tips from you!
@Prada Prince, you may have just inspired me to pull the trigger on an Ani hat given that summer is incipient & sun protection is a must. Their logos are cute & have a prominent presence in Korea!

Going to enjoy scrolling through mod shots of guys styling their bags with confidence and flair when I’m on break!

That's not me. That's Danish actor Lucas Lynggaard Tønnesen when he went to the Hermès fashion show.
