I'm loving the Sophie..I think this is next on my wishlist. The cognac looking color is just perfect but I'm worried about it retaining its shape. It seems like the microstudded black Sophie retains structure more than the other colors?

From the looks of it, you are correct. The regular Sophie's leather is very soft and will have a certain slouch. If you store her correctly, she should maintain her shape, at least to an extent.
The micro studs are reinforced very well, so no slouching on the front. This version is available in MK, but all other ones are sold out everywhere, except Amazon and eBay.
I love love this bag and wish I would have been abound when the colors were still in stock.
A pic of mine is on pg 4 or 5 I think. As long as you keep it overstuffed without stretching it out of shape you should be fine. Make sure you stuff the corners and sides well. I keep an old sweatshirt in it LOL! The paper will not be enough because its prone to slouching due to soft leather. I call her the selmas "wild and crazy" sister. I've had her going on 2 years and no weird creases or slouching. Thanks goes to a crappy old sweatshirt. Matter of fact, a lot of my bags have old sweats in them because they are bulky but soft and stay where you put them unlike paper or small pillows.
