I have had my Sophie for 3 years now and it has never lost it's shape.I have stuffed it in my suitcase and even folded it in half. Genuine leather always springs right back, I doubt you will have any problems.
Thank you cinthiaz, I put Sophie away on Friday, as wanted to use my Portland over the weekend and have just put her away as is in her storage bag. Well I tied the handles upright, which is how I also store my selma to ensure no indentation marks can occur.

This is the trouble with MK bags they are so moreish that you have to store the ones you aren't using away. I have just bought a large quilted Sloan, so now another option to wear! I need to stop I really do. Just taken up sewing so maybe that will slow my MK habit down. So many nice small sewing things to buy instead lol.

Thanks again.

I know I'm a little late to this style, but better late than never! Here's my micro-stud Sophie! She came packaged in a ginormous box! I was so excited, my heart was literally racing! MK wraps his bags soooo well. It was delightful removing the tissue and revealing such a gorgeous thing! Love the wings and deep front pocket. The leather is super soft and structured. She's sooo roomy and very light! No need to fit everything like a jigsaw puzzle! She's like a Selma on steroids, lol!
Wow that is a beautifully packaged bag, if only all stores did that. I have read so many forum posts from ladies whose bags arrive poorly packaged. MK bags are precious items to those that buy them so should be packaged like this one, with respect. Sound like I am on a soap box lol.

I also find you can put so much more in the Sophie, guess cause it isn't so structured. I tend to use my selma for work and sophie outside as it goes better with my more casual outfits.

Your bag looks stunning, great combo, enjoy her.

Very nice! I didn't know they had them in color block! I LOVE my Sophie! It is my answer to Selmas. Has a similar design that is structured, but suits my needs better, because of the outer compartment. I haven't used mine for awhile. Think I will pull her out again! Thanks for reminding me what a great bag this is and yours is stunning!
Yey another Sophie coming back out, you won't want to put her away again she is the bag that I love best out of my growing collection.

I know! All my problems with shipping would be resolved if I always felt that rush! It's amazing how putting a little effort into something really elevates the experience!
I have a hard time with my Selma, everything seems to be tight, and I carry the large. The Hammie also gives me some trouble. Sophie is simple amazing!
P. S. I've also taken up sewing! I feel that I need to take my mind off shopping and more into creating! Lol!

I find Selma is ideal for my working bag, but as you say with Sophie you can cram more in. I liked the comparison shot of your selma against the sophie clearly showing she is larger. I hadn't even noticed that with mine.

As for sewing, I have now even bought my best friend a machine to join me in my new addiction. I was round giving her a lesson on it yesterday. Not something I ever thought I'd do, enjoy your new hobby. I am.

I think what I like about Sophie is that she's wider. I put things in the compartments and they take up a lot of space. I'm no longer looking for long bags, but wider ones.
You are a great friend teaching your bestie how to sew. I would love it if someone taught me! YouTube and Google are my tutors. Mistakes teach me a good lesson as well, lol!

I was wondering about that with the saffiano bags. They are so stiff with no 'give' like soft leather has. Soft leather will expand larger to what you are carrying and saffiano just won't move, it looks to me. I could see that as a hassle if you are wanting to carry more on certain days. I just can't bring myself to buy one yet. I love my Sophie! Very similar to the Selma, only it has that great outer pocket on it and the soft leather allows you to carry quite a bit.

Saffiano has its place. Sometimes I like a very structured look. Though recently, my eye has started to wander to softer leather bags. It's funny how I've changed. I promised myself I would never buy the Miranda because I hated the slouchy look but now I'm on the lookout for one in black. I blame you and every other girl that uploads pictures of their beautiful soft leather bags! 😉😊👍

Please can someone advise, what do you ladies do storage wise when not using your Sophie? I am concerned that unlike my Selma, she won't keep her shape when stored, given how soft the leather is. I was wondering maybe I need to put some kind of packing in her when not in use?

Did you find a way to store your sophie? Mine came with the cardboard inserts, but if it didn't I'd probably make some.

I think it's important to have both structured saffiano AND soft leather in a handbag collection. Some bag styles just look better in soft leather.

I couldn't have said it better, Ubo22! Do you dress people for a living? You really have that ability to step back an asses the situation. You're very good at pointing out the best choice when it comes to choosing a handbag.

Thank you. No, but I come from a family of artists, so love fashion and color. :smile1:

I knew it! That's how you know all these details on style and choices! Does that mean you don't get stuck with a choice like the rest of us? 😉😋
Fortunately, I'm pretty decisive. I've always been that way. It doesn't take me long to make a decision on something.
