Sooo irritated about this! I know my fellow Coachies will understand

That is just disgusting! I would really hope they do not resell that bag anywhere!

Although I have suspicion that they either put the bag out on the floor, or they sent it to an outlet. I would really hope they do not put it the back with all the other new bags.

I seriously think they send some of the returns (maybe the ones they suspect as used) to the outlet because I found a champagne sophia one day at the outlet. One hangtag was missing and when I was going through the inside I found a pen inside the zippered compartment, not to mention the inside just looked used.

Seriously, this whole bag recycling thing Coach is allowing needs to stop! I'm sure we all know a person or 2 that does this. Buys a bag, uses it, hell sometimes they even brag about it, then what do you know, they return it. Even if the bag wasn't visibly damaged, it's still not right to put something that's been used out on the floor for someone else to buy. Maybe they need to start putting returned bags out on special tables at an extreme discount, that way innocent, HONEST customers don't end up paying tons of $$ for someone elses used goods. Thats the end of MY rant-lol.

There are members here that do it on a regular basis. Smoke and all.:yucky:

Yeah, I've read threads where people here did this...I just never knew someone personally who did it. I have no idea why the store took it back. I have no idea what reason she gave THEM for returning it. I obviously wasn't there when she did, I would have thrown a total hissy fit! :bagslap:

I just can't imagine Coach taking a $300 hit and damaging the bag out. I imagine it (with clenched teeth) sitting in the transfer bin waiting to go to outlet.

I know Coach's return policy is very liberal, and that's a general appeal for a lot of people, but I personally believe it needs to be scaled back a bit.

It reminds me of the "boy who cried wolf" syndrome. If people keep returning used bags just because they changed their minds, then I think that the return policy will get more strict eventually and we won't be able to return bags even if they are having a true quality issue.

I guess they will try to sell any bag for full price. Like the one I had shipped to me it was so messed up. I never used it opened the box and saw it nlike that. That same bag was on the store shelf. They fixed the stiches that were coming out or they just cut the off. AND trimmed some of the leather off that was peeling back and off. Still has the bald spots where the pat leather was completely pulled back . to show a suede like leather lunderneath. The seams where they stiched the bag had tears in every other other stich . Something about that leather would tear or start to peel where the needle whent though, looks like crap. Yes you did have to look close to see the stiches like that but once you spoted it it would drive you crazy. And who knows how bad it would get after actually using the bag. The bald leather spots were right on front. You could see it as clear as day. What is it doing for sale still. They put it in the system as defective when i took it back. I don't think they should sell returns like that. WHAT IF some one was allergic to smoke , cat or dog hair etc. people should know it was a return and have their own choice to then buy it from a returns table.
Please let me know if you had a problem with the poppy line being made cheap and so forth. Thanks so much for letting me vent

EWWWWWW I cannot believe she returned this bag after USING it at all, and it's worse that the boutique took it back after she smoked around it! OMG.....this is what makes me wonder every time I buy a bag in the boutique...has it been USED??? and returned??? and did the person smoke or do whatever near it??? What did you say to your friend?

the lady above said it right abut the poppy .Here is my story big coach lover for years never bought a poppy till this year omg what a mess!! ok I wanted the python spotlight. got it the leather was cracked and lifting all the way off Had bald spots, etc. it was 798. took it back got a little groovy, and the red flower highlight. The groovy broke after about a week of use, the leather on the handle was a gold metallic. It had started to peel off or flake off. The zipper came undone. I am so easy on my bags you would think they are alive they way i baby them. ok so took back the groovy .I bought the opal sequin rocker, they had to order it. When it came the leather had rips where the stiches are , tears to bald spots on corners and stiches comming out on the handles. sent it back got one more . not as bad but still messed up. So i thought i love the sequin maybee it is just this bag style . So i got the groovy in the opal sequin. had to order once again. omg it came the leather was fine flipped it over and a third of the sequins on the bottom had fallen off. took if to the store the lady said she had never seen anything like it. Now how can it just be my bad luck to 5 bags in a row that are defective?? Or are they made cheap and fast. HERE IS THE KICKER THE FIRST OPAL ROCKER THAT HAD THE BALD CORNERS AND RIPS AND STICHES ETC... THE STORE I RETURNED IT TO HAS IT FOR SALE ON THEIR SHELF NOW . i DON'T KNOW IF THEY SENT IT IN TO FIX THE STICHES BECAUSE IT WAS BETTER. THE LEATHER WAS STILL BALD IN THE SAME PLACE AS BEFORE IT JUST LOOKS LIKE THEY TRIMMED THE OVER HANG LEATHER OFF LIKE NO ONE WOULD NOTICE. ON MY RETURN RECIEPT IT SAID REASON DEFECTIVE SO MY QUESTION IS WHY IS IT STILL FOR SALE ??? The leather is nothing like the leather of my older bags or even my NEW kristin. My red poppy is still fine but I have not even carried it yet a little afraid it might fall apart so I just look at it. I love the cuteness of some of the poppys like the hangtags and such but,
I think they should be called poopy's

has anyone else had this problem i called coach and they seemed like it was the first they had ever heard. Like I am just picky. Here is the deal if you pay 400. dollars for a bag it should not be wallmart quality. It is not wallmart price ??

Sooooo in response to your comment I have the red poppy highlight Large with the flowers, this is my second one, the 1st one had some kind of dent on one of the petals just after 4 days of use, NOW i'm on the second one and after 3 weeks of use one of the petals is like tearing on the edge. Now the purse is sold out all over so if I take it back I do not get a new one and I really like the bag, but again its an expensive bag so it should be in immaculant condition for a long time! Not tearing. I'm torn on what to do, whether to take it back or just deal with the flower. Its my favorite bag I love it but not happy with the tear.

Well she's just disgusted with the whole thing in general. She said it was ridiculous that her sister bought it in the first place because she "can't take care of nice things" - her words. So she pretty much feels exactly the way I do.
