Here's my rant:

One of my really good friends' sister decided about three weeks ago, on a whim, to purchase her first Coach bag. She's never carried any type of designer bag at all, so she seemed super excited about making that step. She went to FP and ended up choosing a clover print Sophia and matching wallet. In fact, I had to identify the bag because she had no idea what she bought. She cut the tags right away and moved in. She seemed to really like it.

I happen to know she carried that bag for two weeks straight. I also happen to know that she smoked around that bag on a regular basis. Well, I was speaking with my friend this evening telling her about my new Kristin when she proceeded to tell me that her sister went back to our boutique and returned the bag! And the boutique took it back!!!

Now if she wanted to smoke around her bag, IMO that's her business. But when she returns that bag, it becomes a potential problem for a lot of people. Plus, it's freaking disgusting! I don't know what I'm more pissed about. The fact that she had the audacity to do such a thing, or that my boutique was dumb enough to take it back!

I dont understand why they would take a used bag back. What about the wallet? I agree if she wants to smoke around her bag thats her business but returning it later becomes an issue for others as well.
 
the lady above said it right abut the poppy .Here is my story big coach lover for years never bought a poppy till this year omg what a mess!! ok I wanted the python spotlight. got it the leather was cracked and lifting all the way off Had bald spots,etc. it was 798. took it back got a little groovy, and the red flower highlight. The groovy broke after about a week of use, the leather on the handle was a gold metallic. It had started to peel off or flake off. The zipper came undone. I am so easy on my bags you would think they are alive they way i baby them. ok so took back the groovy .I bought the opal sequin rocker, they had to order it. When it came the leather had rips where the stiches are , tears to bald spots on corners and stiches comming out on the handles. sent it back got one more . not as bad but still messed up. So i thought i love the sequin maybee it is just this bag style . So i got the groovy in the opal sequin. had to order once again. omg it came the leather was fine flipped it over and a third of the sequins on the bottom had fallen off. took if to the store the lady said she had never seen anything like it. Now how can it just be my bad luck to 5 bags in a row that are defective?? Or are they made cheap and fast. HERE IS THE KICKER THE FIRST OPAL ROCKER THAT HAD THE BALD CORNERS AND RIPS AND STICHES ETC... THE STORE I RETURNED IT TO HAS IT FOR SALE ON THEIR SHELF NOW . i DON'T KNOW IF THEY SENT IT IN TO FIX THE STICHES BECAUSE IT WAS BETTER. THE LEATHER WAS STILL BALD IN THE SAME PLACE AS BEFORE IT JUST LOOKS LIKE THEY TRIMMED THE OVER HANG LEATHER OFF LIKE NO ONE WOULD NOTICE. ON MY RETURN RECIEPT IT SAID REASON DEFECTIVE SO MY QUESTION IS WHY IS IT STILL FOR SALE ??? The leather is nothing like the leather of my older bags or even my NEW kristin. My red poppy is still fine but I have not even carried it yet a little afraid it might fall apart so I just look at it. I love the cuteness of some of the poppys like the hangtags and such but,

has anyone else had this problem i called coach and they seemed like it was the first they had ever heard. Like I am just picky. Here is the deal if you pay 400. dollars for a bag it should not be wallmart quality. It is not wallmart price ??
 
im surprised the boutique took it back even after the tags were cut! i thought coach only took back bags without tags if there was some damage to the bag like peeling or something.
 
Seriously, this whole bag recycling thing Coach is allowing needs to stop! I'm sure we all know a person or 2 that does this. Buys a bag, uses it, hell sometimes they even brag about it, then what do you know, they return it. Even if the bag wasn't visibly damaged, it's still not right to put something that's been used out on the floor for someone else to buy. Maybe they need to start putting returned bags out on special tables at an extreme discount, that way innocent, HONEST customers don't end up paying tons of $$ for someone elses used goods. Thats the end of MY rant-lol.
 
i agree with todd, its not right! i ordered a bag from my boutique and had them mail it to me, and it was in the worst possible condition.. no stuffing inside, it wasnt wrapped or gift wrapped, just the bag in its dustbag in an obnoxiously huge cardboard box, and maybe it wasnt used and was just the floor model, but comeon, i dont want to pay hundreds of dollars for a bag in that shape! heck, i can get bags in better shape from the outlet if i wanted! it isnt right! if someone used a bag and doesnt want it anymore, they should sell it on their own, not return it like coach is some sort of bbos.com, LOL.
