^^That's what I was going to say. Is it possible she put a different strap on it or used something as an extender? I can only imagine if someone sees me with my hippie bag with the modified strap and wonders what bag it is!

There have been some Signature Field bags with front pockets, but I can't remember anything with two pockets with turnlocks and maybe a center latch or clip. All the Field bags I can think of used magnetic locks for the front pockets.

The Signature fabric bags only go back to about the year 2000 so it couldn't be a very old style. And Coach really doesn't make ANY bags with the extra-long straps any more except for some of the Hamptons weekender-style totes, the duffles with the convertible straps, the swingpacks, and of course the Hippie Flap. That's why I hardly ever buy new Coaches. :cry:

definately sounds fishy then. I know, that is why I loved it.. it was so pretty AND it hung low instead of high or having to hold it.. I instantly thought.. I have to have that.. I have never seen it before!! Being newly obsessed with coach, I didn't have a clue. Thanks!! :p

ok, I'm determined to figure this out for you, but I want some specifics

1. was it all signature or was there some leather and or suede on it?
2. was it a dark purple or more like a blushy pink or more like maroon?
3. did you see if the strap was nylon or leather
4. you said there were pockets on the front, one pocket, two? how did they close (hidden snap, turnlock, dogleash clasp). how big were they?
5. approximately how big was this bag?
6. was the bag narrow (like pretty flat) or was it wider?

okay, now I just feel bad taking up all of your time!! :wtf:

2. was it a dark purple or more like a blushy pink or more like maroon? hmm... it wasn't a bright color, just a deeper purple I would say.. but it wasn't like the bordeaux that I have had, atleast not that bright, more purply, but that could be because it was the signature
3. did you see if the strap was nylon or leather.. to tell you the truth, I didn't.. her hair was covering most of it and I was totally focused on the bag.. it really reminded me of the signature legacy ones that are out now, so I thought it was a style I had missed

5. approximately how big was this bag? guessing I would say 12-16" wide and maybe 10-12" tall.. that is a guess.. it was fairly largeor was it wider? yes, it was wide
