When I go on eluxury next week, it'll make me feel so much better knowing that I bought some of the bags on my wish list for a cheaper price compare to what they will be listed in the next 2 days. 
And yes, it's also an excuse for me to tell my parents and bf why I've been making mad dashes over to the LV store just to buy a whole year worth of bags.

Saving money is always a good thing so we can use that saving to buy other things.
I am sure you know that;
LV prices will always go higher
LV prices will never go down,
LV items will never go on sale unlike other designer brands
So when you know you will get the items eventually, why wait until they increase the price. Some ladies in here have long list of bags they NEED to get. Everything will add up especially after taxes. It's very nice excuse to get the bag of your dream sooner, it means more beautiful pics appear in this forum

Are people buying LV not *allowed* to try to save money when they can??
As I stated before...whatever it is one is buying...it makes sense to buy it a lower price point - if you are able - when one knows the price is going up.

Welcome Medgirl! Well, I'm no LV expert and certainly no LV fanatic since my budget is so limited :shame:, but I'm sure the ladies have their reasons (as they've stated above) & for the most part it makes some sense to me, esp. what frozen7313 wrote about the Damier Speedy. It may not seem like much of a savings compared to the price of the bags themselves, but it is a savings nonetheless. As for -

well, if i knew that there was any chance I can "save" at least 50 bucks I would buy it before the price hike. Why would anyone in their right mind would pay more for anything that would be the same?? Only if I didn't have the money...then I would have to wait but other than that...run for it before it hikes.
This post reminds me of something I saw on Super Sweet 16. This father was trying to offer $25,000 to rent a home or something. But the asking price was like $50,000. So he was trying to negotiate. His spoiled daughter, who was listening in on the negotiation, was like, "Daaaad, just give him the $50,000. Who cares." Grr.
well, i havent bought anything from LV for about 2-3 weeks (that LV piece wasnt even for me!) and before then i hadn't bought anything for at least 3 -6 months! as for the price increase - of course i'm sad... but i just have to save MORE and MORE until get my new piece 
once i get it i know i've earnt it... working hard pays off! and as for the daimer speedy... its such a cute bag! finally LV have made it in daimer... quite a lot of ppl prefer the daimer look instead of monogram.
