Hi Curlsaloud (love the user name)

Where are you from?

To everyone - def thinks we should arrange a London meet up - will keep an eye on this thread and see if any others are interested!!

I work in York, but live in a village just outside Beverley. I try to get into Leeds at least every other month too - need a Harvery Nics and Space.NK fix every once in a while!

I live in London and my current favourite bag is one I bought from Russell & Bromley 6 weeks ago. It is white with a front pocket that has a bow in front and beige thread trim round the sides.

The idea of meeting up sounds brilliant: I love meeting new people and you all sound so nice!

Hey bee bee, Wow i'd love to live 5 minutes from Sloane Street, I'd be a totaly Sloane Ranger lol! Some great tips there on where to shop! Thanks so much.

LOL, about the Sloane thingy. I'm bit strange because I've been living in the same house in SW1 since I was born (my parents moved to Provence and left me with this house, thanks mum...dad) but I didn't pick up any of the Sloaney fashion (I even gave away the Sloaney favourite, my Birkin). May be I need to move across to SW3 on the other side of Sloane Square to absorb it more but I'm nearly 30 so most people will probably say stop being an old hag trying to be young!

But really perhaps because my mum is French (yes, you can all shoot me now for being half-french...), I've never done the Sloane staple of skinny jeans, pashminas, 'messed-up' hair à la Tamara Beckwith - I am a sleek dress/skirt girl. My friends even say I shouldn't be hanging around with them cos I have this slight French accent and can't speak proper 'posh totty'(but the fiancé loves me to turn on the accent like the Renault ad girl, LOL!).

Wow, thats so nice of you mum and dad to leave you with the house, you must have been so made up! :wlae:
Aw. why did you get rid of your Birkin? Was it just not for you? What colour/size was it?
Your sleek fashion sense sounds fabulous, sometimes I get so fed up of the Kate Moss/Sienna Miller look, I'm kinda over it myself!
Ha Ha Ha........ the Renault Ad Girl story made me laugh lol!:smile1:

Work takes me to the UK once a week but I have yet to tire of Harrod's in London. Lots of eye candy if you're looking for designer handbags and shoes.

I love shopping on Buchanan Street in Glasglow too.

Wow you got rid of a Birkin! ( faints! ) You lucky thing. I'd love to live in Chelsea, it's my ultimate lottery win destination if you know what I mean!

I've been fortunate that I've won the Lotto from my parents because no way I can take on the mortgage on my own, LOL! I would have to work for 10 years+ straight without spending a P to buy a house five doors down...I don't really live in Kensington & Chelsea (in Belgravia, Westminster Borough instead).

katy 1368, rainbow_rose, I didn't really get rid of my 35cm, tan box Birkin forever but I gave it away to my mum because it wasn't for me (my thinking is like this) - maybe because I'm not Sloaney enough, LOL, but I still have my white Kelly though. People say it's a good swap for a house and may be I'll get it back in the will, LOL!

the Renault Ad Girl story made me laugh lol!
LOL, I use it VERY sparingly to play the innocent game, it drives him wild :graucho: but if I do it to a lady, I'll definitely get a meow *scratch* on my face:laugh:

Since there are so many ladies up for the meet let's try to get it to happen, seriously I'm looking forward to it!

I noticed that the Boston guys had a meet and greet recently (I don't think it was the first either) posted on here. Defo think it is a good idea. I know I started this thread - any volunteers on "making this happen". God I work for RBS and that is their motto - feel quite sick after typing that - they must have worn me down!!! I'm a walking RBS slogan!

Can you imagine what we would be like before we met LOL, Oooh, what bag should I use :D, and what should I wear, we would need to start getting our wardrobe ready 2 weeks before :D

It is a fab idea though. If we are talking a central London meet, we could all meet in Harrods or Harvey Nics, have a lovely lunch and then go and coo at the bags for the afternoon :)

Oh Chloe Babe - I want to go now!!!!!

It would be like christmas eve all over again as a child - that not being able to sleep with sheer excitement. Hey who am I kidding "as a child" I'm still like that!

Even now as I approach Harvey Nicks - getting closer to it my whole stomach does somersaults - that is soooooo sad I know - I'll say it before anyone else does....

:( i never ever go down to london to go to a meet, it would of been brill though! im only down in london (for the first ever time) in september for a weekend to see robbie williams.
lol me and rose can go for a liverpool meet one day though! in maccies!!! (with our speedys) lol i oj!
