I'm so sorry honey!! With everything you've had happen to you, this just seems like another kick in the teeth i'm sure...this place is a real sisterhood, and i'm sure if you wanted to talk, any of us would be willing to listen.

Just remember though, they are all material possessions (which we love and adore, but still, just things) and you and the baby are safe..that's what's most important

I'll keep you in my thoughts and prayers

I am so sorry that this has happened to you!

Listen - you WILL recover! Don't give other people power and control over your life. You have to stay strong for you and your baby. If you allow your ex-husband and this car thief (or anyone else) to ruin your life you've allowed them to win and that can't happen, right?

Also, contact your auto insurance company and file a claim for the vehicle damage and theft of your purse. Most insurance companies will cover you for both - at least they do here in Michigan.

Oh honey!! That's horrible! I'm so sorry you had to go through all of that with ex-H, too. I'm a single mom of 2 cause my ex did some pretty awful things. It's a hard life but you will make it!
I will keep my eyes peeled for a bag for you! Maybe call Coach and see if they can find one?

I agree-- you might want to call CS and explain what happened. They'll be more than happy to check all of their stores and try to locate that bag for you.

Dear delemont,

I feel so sorry this happened to you, but be strong! Look on the bright side. (I know it's easy for me to say but try to hear me out anyway) The things you lost can be bought again (I am keeping my fingers crossed for you). At least no one was hurt. Please check with your credit card company and auto insurance company what you can do to prevent further identity theft.

I can't say I understand what you're going through because I can't but we would be happy to support you here at tpf; you can lean on us as long as you need to...

In addition to contacting your auto insurance and cc company, check to see if you can put a freeze on your credit file. I'm pretty sure that AZ one of the states that allow this--this will keep anyone from opening other accounts or id theft in your name. This will offer a great deal of protection b/c only you can 'un-freeze the account.'

Good luck, sweetie, and just take one day at a time....

Oh sweetie! I'm so sorry for everything you're going through right now. Know that all of us here are keeping you in our thoughts and will keep an eye out for the bag. As many have already said, the important things are that you and your baby are ok. Please know we're all here for you.

OMG...SO sorry to hear about all that you've been through!! I hope that you can get everything worked out with the credit card company, that the thief gets what he/she has coming, and that your ex is castrated (okay, maybe not literally....just a little leftover PMS talking). It's good that you and your baby are safe.....and don't worry....someone here will find another bag for you.

i am sosososos sorry girl!!! be strong, get the CC company to take care of those charges and the others things will slowly be replaced just be happy it was taken from the car at night and not from you while you were with your child im glad you guys are safe

but i know you feel awful and im so sorry that someone could do something like that! :(

Be sure to contact all the companys and govt agencies (if u had a SS in ur wallet) to make sure all your cards and info are canceled and watched for people falsly using them!

Just reading your story this morning and can not tell you how sorry I am to hear about your misfortune. Where in AZ are you? I'm in Tucson. There was a black leather Legacy shoulder in Dillard's that I saw Monday night. There are also a number of them on Ebay. We had our window smashed on our car a few years back as well - just for fun I guess because there was nothing inside to take. Keep up your spirits and let us know how we can help. :heart::heart:
