I had a similar experience last week in Paris - I didn't want initials on the Amartois/Artois bag (labeled as both, so not sure which is the correct name) and my SA initially agreed but then his manager said absolutely not, in her words "no initials, no bag" -- ridiculous but I agreed because I love the bag/style. Picked up my bag days ago and have been using it back at home. Love it!

By the way, the store was suuuuuper busy every time I went in. I was surprised to see a line to get in each time.

Why is it mandatory to have initials?
