the reason small is harder to find is it just isn't that popular. M/L is the classic size and I think it's a better option for most people.
Small classic flap - does anybody have it and love it - or not? Opinions and thoughts?

Got my small classic flap in Oct last year and it’s my first ever Chanel bag. What can I say, I am now three bags in and the small flap is still my favorite! I can carry her crossbody comfortably as I’m petite (only 5’1).
It’s funny because I actually went into the boutique wanting to grab a medium/large back then. But after trying it on the SA and I agreed the m/l looked a little too big on my frame. The strap length when I carried the m/l on one shoulder was also a tad long for my liking.
Luckily for me the small flap was available and after trying it on the rest was history! Have attached a crossbody pic for your reference!
Hello! did you get the chanel staff to lengthen your bag strap length? I am about the same height as you but when I wear my chanel small CF crossbaby it didnt "rest" on my body as nicely as yours..
I never hear anything about the small classic flap. It seems to me that it is mostly jumbo, medium / large or the mini that people find attractive. I have heard that the small might not have much more space than the mini and therefore people do not wanna spend that amount of money on the small compared to the mini... However I think you still get somethings that you do not get in the mini... double chain possibility... double flap. And I find it to be a nice looking and proportional bag. But I have not studied it that much oe compared it enough to the mini or the medium / large so perhaps I have yet to see the “problem” with the small (if there is one?) What do you all think? Is it worth having this bag? If so why or if not why not? I actually think it looks great. But if it can not hold anything / enough then of course it is a lot of money to spend, I can see that. Hope that somebody can enlighten me -
Hi! personally I think small CF is more classy than mini (due to the double chain and double flap design..) i wanted to get M/L initially but it looks a little huge for my body frame.. and hence I gotten the small one instead. So far there is no problem with the bag, I am happy with my purchase for the past 1 year!! but the only cons i would say is it really cant hold alot of items..
Hi there! Nope I didn’t lengthen the strap length.. perhaps I have a shorter torso or it could be the outfit I was wearing; cannot tell where the waist/hips are so it looks ok visually. I gotta admit it’s not as comfortable as wearing my mini reissue which has a longer chain for crossbody. It’s great when I wanna be hands free though!
I bought my one and only small classic flap in Paris this spring. I had chosen the medium since I already owned 3 and loved the style, but at the last minute I asked to change to the small size. I figured since I was in Europe I should try a small since they are hard to come by in California. And I LOVE it! It isn’t much smaller than my mediums, and my small is the 19S iridescent blue, so I think the small size looks so cute in this color.
Would I buy another small classic flap? YES! Both the medium and small classic flaps are on my “most loved” list.

I think 224 & mini is the small size which retails with a double flap for the small size price. small flap is sized between 224 & 225. I don't think there's a special regular mini size for reissues..
I love the small flap over the medium. I’m 5’2 and like the others i feel it looks more proportionate on us petite girls. It’ll be my only small also it’s a nice size to transition day into night. Mines iridescent with shiny ruthenium hardware.

wow! just picked up the black caviar small classic flap at a great deal - and now I can finally say I understand the hype about the classic flaps!! I tried the medium and it just didn't work for me to the point where i was questioning whether i even liked chanel (will need to sell it) but the small is a DREAM!!! it's so cute and so beautifully structured - kind of the best of both worlds with the minis and M/Ls. absolute love, and now I want it in every single color haha
Congrats on your bag! May I ask how tall you are? Just for reference since I am thinking a lot of which one to go for and/or if the small risk looking to small on me...
i'm quite thin (size 2) and although i'm 5'4 i have a short torso/long legs - i would say my torso is equivalent to 5'2
i don't think height matters as much as "build" - if you are a bit bigger, it may look too small on you
