(SLGs) Small Leather Goods? Have Faves? Do you scrimp or splurge?

Scrimp on wallets splurge on bags. I used to buy cheapo wallets from Target but they fell apart so fast I moved up to better quality but I can't justify spending a huge amount of money on a wallet...anymore 
I've gotten Prada and BV wallets in the past. That money could go towards a new bag is my thinking now.

Started out splurging on handbags and more recently started to splurge on wallets and cosmetic bags too! I have acquired only one of each and that's all I need so I have not gone out of control. I have been babying my Nancy Gonzales (sp?) real croc cosmetic bag because it was rather pricey but I really enjoy looking at it and petting it

I am pretty bag content right is now and just bought a new wallet. I usually don't like to switch out my wallet as much as my bags. I usually changes them every few weeks to a few months. I do seasonal changes. I find myself looking more at wallets and even thinking about getting a few different wallets more so than bags. I know usually everyone has a lot of bags but is there anyone who collects more wallets than bags? If so are your wallets more expensive than the bags you carry? For me right now it's neck and neck. I am carrying a Longchamp and a new Ted Baker both cost the same price wise. In the past my bags were more than the SLG and wallets. I keep looking at some pretty nice wallets. What do you all do?
I'm guilty of being *obsessed* with SLGs. Many of mine are LV or Chanel, but they are not more expensive than my bags (most of the time). However, I'm always surprised at how expensive a wallet is--but it never stops me from purchasing! 😁😁😁
I always thought that too, how expensive it is until I learned that it takes a lot to make a wallet. They are so complex. I am not happy that a wallet can cost as much as a bag but now I understand. Lol.
I do tend to go overboard on the SLGs. I have a weakness for miniatures, so I have a large array of mini bag key fobs in my collection.
Bright pink is another weakness of mine and while I can't justify spending anything on another bright pink bag, I do for a wallet or some other accessory for which I may find use and it makes me happy to see it peek out of my bag. At least neon colors tend to be less expensive than bags.

Yup, definitely more SLGs than bags :giggles:
You see - a red, a black, a cream, a blue and a few brown/grey bags cover every need: balanced, practical, light and gorgeous. Yet what use is a perfect bag if you cannot find a dark gray keypouch inside a black bag; or a black cosmetics case inside a blue bag, or a red pouch inside a red-lined DE bag, etc...? Now extrapolate the frustration to the fivefold degree, and you realise that if your perfect bag and perfect SLGs do not work together = visual Muzak, vertigo, anxiety... CATASTROPHE!!
So much more logical, reasonable and easier on the eye and the mind to have multiples for every SLG item: after all, it´s such a tiny extra step to perfectly combine your perfect bag with the perfect SLGs for it, right?

As for me I go in phases. Last year I bought a few SLGs to help organise my bags and the wallet (in the precise cw/hw combi) I always wanted, and I bought no bags. This year I have got rid of some of my 'lesser' vintage bags and bought some 'now or never' high end bags (C, BV and H pricing is spinning OUT OF CONTROL!!!).
I'd still like a couple more Be-bop/karo/pouches (can't do zips on pouches. Zips snag things like silk scarves).

I am afraid I will go down this route. Because wallets I use on a daily basis, actually will wear out quicker than my bags.
I am currently on a bag ban and giving myself permission to acquire inexpensive, meaningful SLGs and other accessories; my purse organization is a MESS. I know I will always have a use for additional cute pouches. I have many unused bags but for me there's no such thing as an unused pouch.
Are you obsessed with other leather stuff, to keep in your purse? I like to get brights so they are easy to find and differentiate!
