My first memory of hearing a song on the radio was a Wham song. RIP George Michael.

I loved his music - Freedom is absolutely my favourite song! He was a tortured soul and may he rest in peace.

Yes, this song is timelessly wonderful, and the video so captured an era. I will so miss him.

He was a huge talent for sure, it's so sad how many lives are lost to drugs.......it just goes on and on and on.......

I am shocked by how much his appearance had changed since the last time I've seen a picture. He could have been right in my face and in a thousand years I would never have known it was George Michaels. I also didn't know about his struggles with depression or drugs, he had really tough battles in life. I hope he now rests in peace.

Thank you so much for re-posting your photos!! Must have been incredible to see him live. He was a true artist- amazing voice and I can only imagine he sounded just as pure and real on stage. It's not like what you get with many artists nowadays. George's talent was a real gift.
