Why are people always so amazed to see a woman out and about after having a baby. She had a baby, not brain surgery lol Women have been popping out babies in the fields and continuing to do their work.

I never understand why people always she "Oh, she looks great for just giving birth". What exactly is she suppose to look like? Again, not open heart surgery, or brain surgery or limb removal.

i looked like hell for weeks, so i'm just jealous. most of it was sleep deprivation.

if i had household help, (nanny for the baby and older child, cook, housekeeper) i would have been a much more refreshed looking mom.

I am sure you looked great like you did before giving birth (minus a baby of course). I just always think it is weird when people say, "wow she looks great for just having a baby".

I also SMH, when people say, "You look great for having 3 kids" and the woman's kids are 7,14 and 16. Uh, she didn't just have a baby, why wouldn't she look like she did before kids or better. Plenty of women have newborns and are 100% back to what they looked like before pregnancy. I have an old friend who uses the excuse, I am out of shape because I have a kid. Uh, your kid is 5 and you still look 5mos pregnant.

They may have recently been photographed sans their newborn, but mother Lauren Silverman couldn't resist bringing baby Eric to experience the beach for himself on Sunday.

The Manhattan socialite looked relaxed and content in Bal Harbor Miami, hugging her newborn protectively to her chest as she relaxed under the Florida sun.

The brunette mother dressed cool and stylishly for the excursion, letting her wavy hair down that day.

Every parent knows that life with a newborn can be a juggling act, but one thing most mums can rely on is a helping hand from dad – unless his name is Simon Cowell.

The X Factor supremo, 54, led the way out of a New York hotel on Friday while partner Lauren Silverman, 36, struggled to hold son Eric and wriggly puppy Diddly.

The music mogul carried the couple’s other Yorkshire terrier, Squiddly, and a leather bag down the hotel stairs. He then walked the dogs to a car, leaving Silverman to hold Eric and the bag.

Looks cloudy, but even still it doesn't look like he's sitting in the sun. The pics show him under a tent/umbrella unless they're walking with him.

Some sun is fine for newborns. In fact if he had jaundice they'd have him sleeping in a sunny window to help it.

^^ I agree. He's in the shade and not just out baking in the sun and I would guess they probably didn't make an entire day out of sitting at the beach either.

Simon looks very very happy and relaxed. This is the best I think I've ever seen pictures of him looking :-)
