Was looking at a pair of silver metallic Chanel slingbacks. Anyone know if metallic is durable or will it peel/chip off?

I have quite a few pairs of metallic Chanel shoes and I notice metallic shoes scuff really easily. I am very careful with my shoes and after just a few wears I notice considerable scuffing but I don't really mind as its not that noticeable. I haven't noticed peeling or chipping though. Its more wear from everyday use and the paint on the shoes is in a thin layer so when it gets damaged you see the underneath undyed leather.
