Thank you! I brought this Vibrato plume to my local boutique one time and had a very good chat with SA about it. Other than a SA, who works their for over 20 years, other SAs didn't even know this kind of craftmanship exists.

I keep it in my regular purse for an extra bag if I need one. The silk feels like it has a kind of protective treatment, but I haven’t yet been brave enough to put groceries in.

Yes the fabric of my plain Jane version appears to be silk but somehow more sturdy with some sort of treatment to the fibres, quite subtle.
Absolutely fabulous Hermes Nuttynut, so wish I’d got something from the year of India.
Great handy & glamorous little item to keep in your bag!
Great info!Hermès does do water resistant treated silks, and I believe the Silky Pop Totes have that treatment too. I agree with you, as my Silky Pop also feels like the silk has some kind of impregnated something that gives it a different feel.
From the webpage above: "The reverse side of the cover is made of water-repellent silk to protect your bag from the rain."
I guess this is an older post now, but I am just getting caught upA lot of the Year of India stuff is SO special! I the Ganges Kelly is such a great piece and the perfume launched in tribute to Kerala's monsoons was fantastic. Wasn't terribly fond of the Marwari scarves, though.
I have many of these catalogs and other pieces of Hermès ephemera that I found on eBay years ago. I find them to be invaluable reference. These catalogs are available for purchase on eBay.

I LOVE the Doremi!!Three wishlist items came in one bag for me this week! A Doremi 35, in Dalmatian, with a SHOOTING STAR STAMP!
I've been wanting all three of these things for a while, but more as "eventual wants for the right price." Little did I know that "right price" would magically be less than half what I was hoping to spend on any one of these things, and never did I even imagine all three would happen in the same bag
I feel so lucky to have this one, and the buffalo is sooooooo supple.
Here he is, my black Dalmatian Doremi 35 Shooting Star:

Hello, reviving this old thread because I have a question for all Gao lovers and experts.
I am looking for an understanded tote and fell in love with this style. I have been doing a bit of a search in the second-hand market but find a lot of discrepancies with the Hermes stamps on the inside of the bag. Was this model re-issued at some point?
Some show a hot stamp with Hermes' old font and others show a stamp with silver letters much more inline with current bags and then there are a few with a hot stamp + serial number under the Hermes logo.
Any insights are greatly appreciated!

Thanks for the advice. It sounds like you need to get an authentication service. Unfortunately, that's not what this thread is about.
