Gotta watch out for the law!!-- If you remember, I told you about the Oryany bag brand I love. Lots of fringe, studs, whatnots and thingamabobs on those bags. I'm right there with ya!! I love ALL purses as long as the quality is there. I'm hippie somedays and "classy" on the others. That purse is TDF!! I would not turn it down if you left it in your WILL for me LOL!!

LOL! Where else? On eBay! You can find some great collectables on ebay, but you really have to be careful, as you well know.

And as far as my will goes, that isn't far off! lol! And who says you can't be a classy hippie?? lol! They even have a name for that 'Boho Chic' lol!

So excited!! I just won this vintage MICHAEL KORS ( not MMK) made in Italy, that originally retailed over 1000.00!! It has the all leather interior and is SUPER well made! I collect these vintage bags as I know they are an investment. I don't think anyone will like this except for me! lol! Seems I am the only hippie in this group! lol! But hey! Someones got to love it, right? And I sure DO! It's funny because I only had to outbid one other bidder! lol! People don't realize what these made in Italy bags are worth and how much better made they are, but that's OK because then I can get them cheap! 103.00 plus shipping!
. Plus I will wear this quite a bit when we are out on our Harley Davidson!! So I am sure I have more use for it than most MK lovers. Not sure how many of them are bikers?? lol! Most of my riding friends never even heard of MK. Wait until they see this! I am sure they will start looking at them.In fact, a couple of my girlfriends got one from me already and they love it! They usually just buy Harley bags, and they are well made too, and quite spendy. That Harley leather is too thick and stiff for me, though, so I prefer my MK leather. So much softer! . Won't this look great with my black leather jacket on the motorcycle?? I can just see those fringes blowing in the wind, now! lol! Whoop!! Can't wait till it gets here!!

Too cool!! Thank you so much for finding me this pic!! I received the bag and it is amazing! Only thing , with the leather inside , it is VERY heavy! But it is one of the most exquisite bags I have ever seen or touched!

Here's an old one. I am wondering if the HAMILTON was derived from this bag??. Note the handles and Lock HOOK, on the front. You can't see them but there are also belts on top sides, like the belt around the top of the Hamilton. Very similar.It even has the center zip compartment like the other Hamiltons without the lock. Even the shape of the top of the bag, under the flap ( see pic #2) is shaped and fold just like the Hamiltons. Quite a few similarities. Don't know the name of this one,but see it all the time in black and brown.. This turquoise is so rare and pretty on this bag. Showing the lining as well.
Many have been asking about the solid white linings if they are authentic on MK or not. Yes they are, mostly on the vintage bags, and often seen on the Scorpios bags, This bag is in awesome shape considering it is about 20 years old,

Here is another vintage MK bag with the solid white interior. Hokey little bag! lol! Notice the contrast stitching .This is a totally authentic MK vintage bag. Just getting them on here so we can have a collection on the TPF of MK vintage, as a reference thread.

Oh, I love the turquoise bag you posted! It's gorgeous! I didn't even know that MK has this tradition... It's amazing.
I really do love MK but I often think that the style of its bags is sometimes too much "inspired" by other famous designer brands and I don't like that very much. With the older bags that doesn't seem to be the case and I think that's really cool. I would so love it if he continued to create its own style rather than glancing across to other designers...

I really do love MK but I often think that the style of its bags is sometimes too much "inspired" by other famous designer brands and I don't like that very much. With the older bags that doesn't seem to be the case and I think that's really cool. I would so love it if he continued to create its own style rather than glancing across to other designers...

Check the other bags I just posted. MK has been here since 1981 and if you look in the 'Sexy Rock and Roll bags thread, you'll see many more of his designs. MK has plenty of his own designs, it 's just that everyone keeps buying the copies, so that's all you see. I love his own designs as well. They are beautiful. I don't care for these vintage except like you, I do love that turquise one.. There's some really pretty bags in the Sexy Rock and Roll thread.

I don't quite know about the US but here in Germany you definitely only see the "standard" bags which are also nice, but it's also kinda sad when a designer obviously has so much more to offer. Anyway, I will have a look at the other thread now.

Vintage MK Flap Leather and Suede. This one has nice lines lines on it. I think it's pretty neat! I love how this is scalloped around the edges and the combo of suede against leather. Nice!

I totally agree. It is not only sad, it is ridiculous. MK really does have some amazing designs other than what we see all the time, over and over and over, I always thought it was tabu to have the same dress on at a party as someone else! lol! I appreciate when someone is more original . MK really does have quite a few original designs.
