Well, I tried to upload pictures but it just wouldn't work, so next best thing - ImageShack.

A big BIG bag week for me... yay evilbay! :graucho:

This one arrived today and I've already moved into her. Madison shoulder bag in cobalt patent leather. The picture doesn't do her justice, she is drop dead gorgeous, and a much deeper blue than she appears in the picture.

Bleecker Millie tote. She's soft and squishy and the embossed leather is gorgeous. I love the tattersall lining. I'm developing a huge crush on the Bleecker line. I heard some serious thumping around in the box before I unpacked her and couldn't imagine what was making all that noise. Little did I know, the clip closure can also be used as a lethal weapon, it's that heavy!

Great finds. I bet that blue is gorgeous! The clip Bleecker reminds me of a Gucci Jackie bag.

That's a beautiful blue color and I love your Millie, I've never seen that bag before but it is gorgeous!

Just for fun, I tried to photograph this bag in the same "pose" as the original ad, provided by Hyacinth. It wasn't a fantastic deal, but it is in fantastic condition and I got it for under $30. It was cheaper than the one of the same style I got last week and that one is going to need some work!

Great find and I love seeing those old Coach ads for a vintage bag that I've scored!

I just scored a Helen's Legacy from Ebay! I believe it is mahogany, and I had trouble reading the creed to get the number, but as soon as it arrives I am going to find out the year of the bag! IT was a made in the USA one, that's for sure!
It seems like it is going to need a good cleaning and some serious leather conditioning. I have Apple, but... I dunno.
What do I need? I am going to need to wash it, polish the brass, condition the heck out of it, and find a replacement hangtag.

If the leather is in bad shape, you will probably need a more intensive conditioner. I like Leather CPR, which I have found at Marshall's, and Blackrocks, which I have had to order from Ebay. The Blackrocks works great to disguise scratches and color loss. I have this bag in apple green.

Thank you! I will hit up my local Marshalls. What about LExol? Or is LEather CPR better?

Leather CPR is more intensive than Lexol. It is thicker, like hand lotion. I use Lexol on bags that don't need a lot of conditioning or those that have a textured finish. I use Leather CPR on almost all my vintage rehab projects. The leather usually needs extra moisturizing after bathing. If the bag has worn edges or scratches, Blackrocks gives amazing results.
