Since I buy used bags and fix them up and re-sell them I have mixed feelings about it. I have no problem grabbing hangtags that match my used bags anywhere I can find them, even if it means having to buy them separately, years later, after the fact . But there are some unscrupulous sellers on ebay right now who are buying new bags, separating them from their hangtags, and devalueing the original bags because some of these special edition hangtags are almost impossible to replace. I hate to see this happen. That being said, I do really love the look of the new tassel hangtags a lot!

Yes, I hate this too and I suspect that some of those hangtags that are for sale were stolen, which is why I had to buy a groovy that was missing the hangtags.

On another note, I requested hangtags from Coach a really long time ago and they haven't arrived. I'm getting a little tired of waiting.

So here is another one of my "not really a bargain" things. When I first saw it on eBay I was like..."really?" and then I thought-"wait a minute, that's kinda cool" So, don't laugh too hard at me 'kay?

The seller said she bought someone a bag as a gift but they didn't like the hangtags. I'm sure she was pleased to get $25 for them. Here it is on my pocket purse that I think I paid $11 for:

My rational was that I have paid more than that for fobs, it is a great way to dress up old bags and I've been eyeing all the new tassels on the legacy stuff. And I've always liked this style-how often do we find something with brass trim for our classic bags?

It was one of those silly things that I think I"m going to enjoy having. I don't even feel bad about it!

Love the fobs! I think this might be the time to call coach for some replacement hangtags...maybe I can score some brass!

Ahh well, I agree with all the above but in defense of the person who sold mine they are not a reseller that I could see, in fact they had no other auctions that even showed up as completed listings, much less any Coach auctions, so the story was likely true.

I've still never called Coach for hangtags. I guess I should, I just never get around to it.

*sigh* I miss my vintage Coach bags :( This thread makes it worse LOL! I moved and left them all at home at my parents house because I don't have any place to store multiple purses in this apartment, and most of them are on the small side for what I need when I go out in the city. I still miss them like crazy though and wish I had them.

I know some gals just don't like the hangtags at all and will sell them, which is great for us who need them:)

thanks..its in new condition and it was a great price! :D

I was so sad that my Maggie Mia didn't work for me. I have always thought they were such a pretty design and everytime I see one I wish I could try again, but I could never get comfortable with mine on my shoulder (I don't do the double handle very well-just kept rolling off the shoulder and making me crazy) so I had to sell her:sad:

It's great that your parents are willing to hang onto them for you so you can have them back someday!

I've been eyeing these off for a very long time and finally found one at a great price on Etsy. It was $58 plus $15 shipping (which is a very cheap price to get down under). She arrived in just over a week from shipping date and is in awesome condition considering her age. I have only conditioned the leather and moved in. The big surprise is that she is a tardis inside! I was expecting to only use this one for eye candy and the odd night out, but all my stuff fits, and she doesn't look ugly and lumpy or weigh a tonne. Doing a happy dance right now!
