very valid points!! Can't wait to see your new treasures when they arrive!

I have one more little bag I bought a couple weeks ago, because I fell in love with its tan sister last year and had to find another one if and when a good price came along. These don't pop up terribly often on the bay. When I got her she was structurally great, but pretty dirty. I am hoping I didn't damage the leather with the aggressive "oxy" bleaching I did to her. She is a bit stiff inside even though I rinsed and re-rinsed MANY times over. But she cleaned up fairly well. And now I just hope to keep conditioning her over and over til some softness re-emerges. Here's my $20 white Bleecker small bucket with her tan sister (#9301)

They are both gorgeous! Tell us about your oxy bleaching method!

They are both gorgeous! Tell us about your oxy bleaching method!

I just filled a sink with hot water and dumped in a couple scoops of Oxi-clean powder along with too much Tide. So it felt like I was NEVER going to get all the soap out because I truly over did it. This was the second time I dunked her. Initially I washed like normal and less aggressively, which was a big step toward fixing her up but after drying , Leather CPR multiple times, and attempting to touch her up with white acrylic I still wasn't happy, and she still had a bit of a dingy quality. So into the hot soapy Oxy water she went. A good bit of the acrylic paint touch up came off too which is fine. So, after drying her she was much whiter though honestly still feels stiff like soap dried into her. But I just can't imagine any more rinsing would have helped ...I did it too many times to count. This time, I re touched up a bit of the handles and the very bottom scuffed edges with white paint, but that was it. She isn't perfect but I'd feel ok toting her around now. And I am now trying the Leather Therapy oil to penetrate and soften her in addition to Leather CPR. I will finalize with BlackRock eventually. I guess I should have posted this on the Rehab site eh? LOL. Maybe I"ll do that and copy and paste this info over as well.

I am itching to show off a couple of ebay bargains on here that I've bought from the slowest shippers I've ever encountered. Its killing me. But hopefully They'll come this week.
And I too am watching stuff on ebay so let's all just not tell each other so there's no worries LOL. I'm broke basically, so nobody has much to fear from me:p

Here's what I found yesterday for $24. A Legacy West Hippie Flap? (9592) Seriously like NWOT !!

I have been eyeing some swing packs on the Factory online sales and this bag fits the same crossbody dimensions, so though not a STEAL, $24 is much cheaper than the new ones.

I've spent much of this entire weekend dunking bags and polishing brass. I have 8 bags drying right now. 3 of them are gifts to friends and family.

I really WISH that TPF did like a couple other forums and had a section where you are allowed to post your items for sale. I'd much rather buy from and sell to you guys on here than a bunch of strangers with possible fakes or whatever. I often see things on here you all have bought on ebay or wherever and thought "dang I could have sold her that for less!!" KWIM? But I'm not ebaying any Coach right now. I've decided to set up a Bonanza account later when I get enough stock ready. Thus the major dunk-a-palooza and polish-fest going on!!

Hope you guys are having a nice weekend!
tpf does or they did have a marketplace where you could sell your items but only certain members are/were allowed to participate.

So here is another one of my "not really a bargain" things. When I first saw it on eBay I was like..."really?" and then I thought-"wait a minute, that's kinda cool" So, don't laugh too hard at me 'kay?

The seller said she bought someone a bag as a gift but they didn't like the hangtags. I'm sure she was pleased to get $25 for them. Here it is on my pocket purse that I think I paid $11 for:

My rational was that I have paid more than that for fobs, it is a great way to dress up old bags and I've been eyeing all the new tassels on the legacy stuff. And I've always liked this style-how often do we find something with brass trim for our classic bags?

It was one of those silly things that I think I"m going to enjoy having. I don't even feel bad about it!

It looks it got removed from a 70th anniversary purse? Otherwise I didn't realize they were selling just the fobs/tassel combo alone. Though it looks bigger than mine. I do love that look. It's why I love my Poppy Willis's and other bags that have them on there.

Yeah, I can't believe anyone would take that off, or at least not take it off and get rid of it. I always liked it too, and I don't have any of those bags (yet). I have actually thought to myself several times that I'd love to have that tassel. But when I saw one for sale I thought it was a crazy thing to be selling. But I kinda dig having it.

Cute! I love this style. So you think the "Oxy" stuff really helped eh?

I love it. I even bought one of those anniversary bags partly for the hangtags. Then my Hamptons came with the same hangtag. When I bought a groovy a few years ago, it was missing the hangtags so I bought them on ebay and I don't regret it one bit. There is a groovy I saw at Macy's that has 4 hangtags and one of them is a mirror. I loved the hangtags but not the purse so much. Someone just sold the hangtags for $61 including shipping: http://www.ebay.com/itm/290740728303?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649 The purse with the hangtags only got about $100 on ebay.
