I love Bottega. I'm just not willing to spend more then $500 on a bag, and I don't buy second hand.
I don’t own any pre-loved bag right now, but I just bought an LV pochette accessory for $170+ shipping. The only reason why I bought second hand LV bag is because I’ve watched so many YouTube videos about pre-loved LV market. Bottega is a pretty good brand to buy 2nd hand. There was a girl at my work bought a whole set of Bottega blue satchel and wallet for almost $5,000. I saw the exact same satchel on Ebay for way less, but nobody bought it. I think buying pre-loved bags is a good idea if you can tell the authenticity, and save lots of money. Hehe

I love preloved but as you said you have to be cautious it is a great way to save money and get lovely bags, to be honest the majority are way overpriced anyways.

My friends and I got together for dinner the other night and I told them they had to bring at least one of the bags they bought on our November trip to Florence. Keep in mind that these bags have been in pretty heavy rotation since they bought them whereas I posted my photos when the bags were brand new.In the first photo, the yellow bag cost about $100. My friend wears a lot of yellow (it looks great on her) and this bag called to her right away! It's even big enough to hold her laptop if needed. My other friends loves this shade of green, which is hard to find at the moment. She bought this bag for about $200 at a store called Umberto's. She fell for the color, the luster of the leather, the ease of wearing and the multiple pockets inside. She uses it every week.
In the second photo, the bag on the left was the most expensive -- about $350. It's light without being white. The beige/nude bag was about $200. Both of these also came from Umberto's. My bags and the yellow bag came from a shop across the street. (Note: my friend who bought the $350 bag bought three other bags, all $200 or under, but this one is her favorite.)
