Accessorize*Me: You have such exquisite taste. Your bling collection is amazing. Here's the close-up of my engagement ring. Hope it is clear enough.

I'm a bit upset because I turn 30 in 1 week and I dont have a boyfriend and more than anything I have always wanted a significant sized solitaire diamond on an elegant thin silver band to wear on my right hand (-which I thought that if I chose it and loved it, if I became engaged and my hubby to be was not as flushed with money as I am, I would be able to wear it on my left hand) anyway, I just so hapenned to mention this on facebook coz I was excited & that I was deciding Asscher/Princess'Cushion cut etc and one of my friends on there - he's much younger than me, but has just got engaged himself has just put: 'So your parents are buying you an engagement ring> ? Wierd'
So I havnt replied, Im just sitting here feeling sad. :( Him & his family are often jealous of my family and their wealth, but you cant help being wealthy? My parents have worked their asses off to be able to afford a few luxuries or beautiful gifts for their kids along the way. Any suggestions of what to do? Shall I not bother answering back, shall i leave his comment or delete it or shall I just delete my status update altogether??

beastofthefields- just delete his comment- he is traditional, snide, and bitter! do what makes you happy! I am 25 and single and I buy all my own jewellery. some people do not understand. they think "why not wait until someone special comes along and they can buy it for you?" dont be sad:hugs: buy something that celebrates your birthday whether that be a diamond ring or a nice big cocktail ring, the only thing i would suggest is don't buy something that would be a replacement or a "just in case" if your future fiance cannot afford an engagement ring, buy it because you love it and it celebrates who you are at this period in your life!
