Ms. P, you look elegant in the plume elan! I had one too and it was too dainty on me, but looks gorgeous on you.

News flash to the plume lovers - A 28 is winging its way to me and I can't wait to have some fun with it! I'll post photos as soon as I reecieve it and all checks out!

The 28 élan is too dainty on me too and has been rehome. Looking forward to seeing your new one!

papartiger, this is exactly what I was trying to tell my friend about this bag.I even use "chameleon " word. How funny is that)))

That is funny, it must be true then!

Raisin box Plume Élan 28 in H motherland. Alas the bag is no longer with me as I realised I needed the regular size. A good home it has gone to though.

Oh, ms piggy, it's all subjective but I think the Elan looked perfect on you.

:yahoo:

Congratulations! I hope it's a keeper, I can't wait to see

Is it a vintage? There is a lovely shine to it.

Ok. Let's see how I type on this bloody tablet. . . .

The chamonix is from 2002. I think it looks more shiny because it just came from spa.

I just might add another family member since I am seeing so many on my travels. So far I have seen blue paradis, sapphire, canopies crocodile, and graphite croc.

This was fabulous on you. What a divine bag.

Oh seton how lucky you are. I haven't seen many plumes lately the most memorable was an arlequin one with 6 colours which was exquisite, and that was back in May.

That's also TDF!!! (and the LAdV shawl)

If my memory serves me correctly they're the same length, it's just the proportions of the elan make them look longer.

I like the original boxy shape

Thanks for the compliment and the info papertiger! I too like the boxy shape and it's under-the-radar effect; not much going on except gorgeous leather, contrasting stitching, and a very little 'bling' (hardware) thrown in. ITA with an earlier poster in this thread; the bolide and the plume are styles buried deep in my  !

your Plume is a dream! RH Chamonix always makes my heart flutter! :smile1:

I found a pic of my Chamonix from my archives.

Thanks seton! I quite like the matte effect of chamonix. Were I not so worried about chamonix and the rain, this could be a workhorse. It's a keeper nonetheless. Yours is gorgeous, is the color Sable? My monitor makes it look lighter than Gold.....and is it Les Insectes? (A beauty ;-0)

The élan straps are too short for over the shoulder so it needs to be hand carried. I do like the look of the élan as it's quite elegant actually.

Thanks for the info Jadeite!

Looove these!

thanks carls888!

I had a rouge h just like this a a bit ago! Now I have rouge vif in fjord - love the reds!

Both of your bags are fabulous shoes319! Do you find your fjord bag particularly heavy? Rouge vif is a very sexy red, lucky you!

Love this bag! And we are twins on the shawl!

Thanks, xiangxiang! I'm guite fond of the contrasting hem in that shawl!

I'm sorry to learn this didn't work for you ms piggy because to my eye it looks quite beautiful! Glad it went to a happy home, and I hope you replaced it with something wonderful!

Hurry up Mr. Postman, we wanna see!

Mr Postman just delivered this and I am over the moon with love. Here is my new to me Plume 28 box navy - super condition and I can't wait to pair with my silks. Unfortunately the rain has finally arrived so Ms. Plume will have to wait for the weather to clear up again.

lanit, she's absolutely gorgeous! Congrats!

All the pics here are beginning to renew my interest in a plume. Thanks for sharing, ladies!

I got myself a 28 last spring but have only used it once because it doesn't fit all my stuff--well, it fits but I have to take everything out when I'm looking for something and then re-stuff them back. I carry a Kelly long wallet, Karo GM, 2 phones, keys and security cards, and they fill up the interior. May be I'll have to look into getting a 32 instead so that I can tote my whole life with me more comfortably. Although I don't think the straps of a 32 can go over the shoulder, is that right?

The color and patina are dreamy. Love navy box.

Thank you Birdonce!

Thanks fabfashion- I use an insert and find things quite easily in my bags, but I don't tend to carry much other than two calvis, a pair of eyeglasses/sunglasses and a small pouch that holds my lipsticks and keys. Anything more goes into a tote for a workday. I can't wait to take this one out for a spin!
