Thanks seton! I quite like the matte effect of chamonix. Were I not so worried about chamonix and the rain, this could be a workhorse. It's a keeper nonetheless. Yours is gorgeous, is the color Sable? My monitor makes it look lighter than Gold.....and is it Les Insectes? (A beauty !

My chamonix is naturel. It is a darker, grayer naturel than most naturel chamonix but Claude the craftsman insisted that it was naturel, so who am I to say otherwise? Here is a comparison of my Plume with Gold Swift so you can see the contrast.

I got myself a 28 last spring but have only used it once because it doesn't fit all my stuff--well, it fits but I have to take everything out when I'm looking for something and then re-stuff them back. I carry a Kelly long wallet, Karo GM, 2 phones, keys and security cards, and they fill up the interior. May be I'll have to look into getting a 32 instead so that I can tote my whole life with me more comfortably. Although I don't think the straps of a 32 can go over the shoulder, is that right?

I have linebacker shoulders so I am always surprised when someone says that they cant wear the Plume 32 on their shoulders since I certainly can.

As for the Élan 28, I think we are always the harshest critic of self, it just looked too dainty lol.
