Thank you thank you! Like many people I go through phases of not buying anything for a while then splurging on multiple purses. These days I am definitely in the second phase

Any hint about the next week's addition? At least what kind of leather? :sneaky:

Riddle:

:?:

When is a bird not a bird? :graucho:

Breathtakingly beautiful, Gucci are so great with exotics and that lady lock is spellbinding

Another big fan of BV python, ayers and lizard, yours are truly stunning :woohoo:

I'm amazed how many people think exotics are 'difficult'. Apart from keeping them away from rain (and ostrich from grease) they're no more trouble than most. I've exotics in python, croc, alli, python etc and they are perfect. They're usually made by the very best ateliers, and 10 x better made than 'normal' leather bags.

Newsflash:
I'll have a HUGE new addition for this thread next week :graucho:

thanx so much PT, and yes they are!

A big white bird flew from Italy, through Germany and then to me...

As you can see it's a Gianni Barbato, very large shopping tote/travel bag that converts from a shoulder bag (sides tucked in) high shoulder bag when folded over or handheld full size.

Gianni Barbato is an Italian brand that is better known for special treatment exotic shoes and boots, very er Italian. Very hard to find outside Italy (so if any of you are visiting Italy :graucho: ) I had a pair of lizard and normal leather boots a few years ago that I wore into the ground :D

I've taken pics of both sides. As you can see they've used the quill parts on both sides so it doesn't matter which way it's turned. The skin is thick, pliable and 'bouncy'. The less-quill part are towards and on the side panels. So well made.

It has 2 large zipper compartments either side of the bag and another smaller one. The lining is lovely and thick.

I'm so pleased  and it's a keeper

I've been looking for something like this for a while too, though I have yet to take it out, so far totally recommended

Ahhhh the leather is just gorgeous! I'm really loving ostrich these days, it's not quite as flashy as python & croc (which can be a bit *too much* in large sizes) while still being exotic and different! Great find!
