So I had been wanting an exotic for a while, and seeing all of your ladies' gorgeous bags got me motivated! So I went and grabbed my very first exotic... Chloé Drew in python and black calfskin!

I was torn between this and a gorgeous cream-colored all-python Drew. I really wanted an all-python bag but decided two-tone with black is more versatile. I was also a little worried about yellowing and color transfer. All in all I think it is a good entry to exotics! So looking forward to the next one already... :girlsigh:

Gorgeous! Preventive measure, get a good cream for reptile and put it on. Saphir makes a good one. Protects the Python and keeps it supple.

Another big fan of BV python, ayers and lizard, yours are truly stunning :woohoo:

I'm amazed how many people think exotics are 'difficult'. Apart from keeping them away from rain (and ostrich from grease) they're no more trouble than most. I've exotics in python, croc, alli, python etc and they are perfect. They're usually made by the very best ateliers, and 10 x better made than 'normal' leather bags.

Newsflash:
I'll have a HUGE new addition for this thread next week :graucho:

Lovely little Chloe Skimilk! Literally a precious bag, I love some of the coloured skins but I can never tire the classic natural colours. BTW, you're doing very well lately - as I can see by your pre-Fall Chanel in your avatar too he he :tender:

Cannot wait to see it!!! Please share when it arrives!

:salute:

I can't wait myself

Thanks ladies.

Exotics are just like other leathers. I take care of my bags but I don't baby them too much (okay, there are a few that I do baby a bit). I don't take them out in the rain and i try not to grab the handles right after I put on hand lotion.

Can't wait for your new addition, paper tiger!!

Thank you thank you! Like many people I go through phases of not buying anything for a while then splurging on multiple purses. These days I am definitely in the second phase

Any hint about the next week's addition? At least what kind of leather? :sneaky:
