I had a 227, which yea... can't fit much and on the days that i can squeeze an elephant in. . The bag became heavy n strap too painful -_-

I hv a L34... though fits alot.. but do beware that when it gets too heavy. .. itz quite taxing on the shoulders too.
But definitely better than the 227.
The strap is quite thick so. . My opinion is to try it on before u decide. Doubt the store has any to try. . So go to those resell shops to feel it before u jump the gun k!

All the best ^^

Yes it is bulky. I got my lindy in 30 so it's not heavy. I think right now I'm just amazed by how much my lindy can fit! The zips drive me crazy though.

I love flap bags. They are so convenient. I just wish Chanel makes bigger flap bags that can actually hold stuffs. I've waited for many seasons and never found any. If I had found a large roomy flap I don't think I would've crossed over to the dark orange side.

Mine was 30 too :) Lucky for the superbly comfy strap, if not I would not be able to handle the weight. I am still waiting for a chanel to call to me :p

Dear ladies, with much apologies for the delay, after a very (& weary) long work week and finally my toddler is asleep, I've finally gotten down to taking an interior comparison pics of the reissue 227 and the Lindy 30.

You can see my reissue 227 is packed to the brim while the Lindy is like a giant bottomless box haha.

All the things in my reissue are a foldable umbrella, caviar long wallet, key pouch, tissues, 1 iphone (using my other phone to take the pic), compact, lipstick, sunglasses in a cloth pouch, staff pass.

Both are beautiful bags and I do find the reissue so beautiful & elegant but not so ideal as a work bag. The lindy while so spacious is very boxy and bulky when worn on the shoulder but very nice held on the arms.

Each has its pros and cons. For now at least I'm enjoying the best of both worlds.

Thank u so much and I help the comparison pics are useful!

I'm happy to hear you've decided to keep your reissue! Congrats on your new lindy 30 too! I'd love to see a mod pic as well. I love Chanel but you're right that as a working mother, I don't get to use my flaps and reissues as much as I'd like to. I've been contemplating adding a bolide or GP but a lindy is intriguing.

Congrats on finding a bag that fits your needs functionally and stylistically. I think the Lindy is a cool design and of course H leather is soooo scrumptious. Please post a reveal! :-)

Thank u for your kind words! I'll try to do a reveal and comparison mod pics of both bags soon!

I did the exact same thing last year. Let go of my reissue 227 (black with rhw like yours) and got a Lindy 34 (in gold, also l like yours). I do not regret it as I still have a few classic Chanel flaps in my collection. However as of late, i have been wanting a reissue and suddenly miss mine. Congrats on your new Lindy and enjoy your reissue! Glad you decided to keep it! :)

They are complete different bags and I wouldn't even have sold your Chanel bags for those reasons you mentioned in first place. M/L , Jumbo, WOC, Reissue..

These are all bags you use for having a drink or going out with the hubby for instance, not for bringing to work imho. I have bought and sold many bags over the past few years, I started with Chanel and thought I was completely over it when I found Hermes and sold a lot of bags, including a Boy which i totally totally totally regret right now since I got it when the price was still reasonable. Anyway, I've decided to keep 1 M/L flap in Black and WOC in Black for those occasions mentioned above and I am so happy that I did.

For work or other occasions when I need more space, I now have a Hermes Kelly 32 and an Evelyne.

Don't sell your reissue, you mentioned that you used to wear it a lot. Well, keep wearing it, just for other occasions than your work, use it for date nights or going out with your friends. Prices will only go up and the quality down imo. If you like the Lindy, get it, but don't replace it for the Reissue.

+1
I tend to get tired when I keep using one bag over and over again. Why dont you put it away for couple of weeks. If it was me...I'd never sell my reissue. Good luck.

My reissue is in ghw :p both are v different bags and I should keep both for different needs. The lindy is hard to take out as a dinner bag. My lindy 30 is rather bulky worn on the shoulder and hard to tuck it away at dinner tables. Now I see it more as a 'day bag'.

Hi Daosabao,

This is a great thread! I also just purchased a Lindy and found it really helpful reading through the whole conversation.

I don't have a reissue flap but I do have a Chanel m/l and I totally agree with you that the two bags are completely different usages and lend very different feels to an outfit. Hermes gold is so classic and the reissue is also timeless, I think both can fit in a collection well without too much overlap because of how each will complement an outfit. I can personally never let go of either bag (for now anyway!), even though both mine are black with ghw!! It seems like you are edging toward the Lindy in your lifestyle right now but I'm thinking you may regret to resell your reissue if you still have some doubt in your mind right now about keeping it. Please keep us updated.

I also agree with you on the idea that Lindy is a day bag - even my 26 is pretty roomy for me and the Chanel m/l fits less than the Lindy so I end up using this for more dressier events - not super formal, but events where I am not in slacks and casual blouse/top. I think your reissue is even more flexible than m/l in terms of dress up and down and to be honest I have always wanted a reissue in my own collection and probably will end up getting one later on as well.

EDIT - I see you decided to keep the reissue~ I am glad! Enjoy your lovely bags in good health!

I m glad that you have decided to keep the reissue. Like many of the responses have mentioned, both bags serve different functions and 227 is a timeless treasure. I have a 30 Lindy n Chanel flap and they have serve me well.

Dear all, been a year or 2 of using both reissue and Lindy and I must say I'm so grateful to everyone. I'm so glad I didn't sell my reissue to fund a moment of 'orange madness'. I still have both 227 and Lindy 30 and some days when the lindy feels too boxy n heavy I even feel like getting rid of it haha.
