Should I keep my new Tiffany necklace?

i love it, but not for $3000. i'd return it. i don't think i would sleep well at night knowing i spent that amount of money on something i didn't feel 100% satisfied with.

Wow, I had been eyeing this necklace online & I am glad i have seen it on you before buying.
It is honestly SO much SMALLER than I thought it would/should be for the price!
It is pretty & delicate, but for 3k, the diamond weight should be at least 1 carat total & the bow should be bigger.
To the average person, it doesn't scream tiffany. I don't know if that's important to you or not. A while ago, I bought the diamond horseshoe pendant for a lot of money...then was very disappointed to see it in many mall jewelers for much less!

I would do one of 2 things if I were you:
1) If it is just the design you like, take lotsof pics, return it, & get it custom made in whatever size, chain & length you want.
2) If it is important to you to have a Tiffany necklace, I would choose something else.....

Let us know!

I think it's very pretty, but I do think you could get something more substantial for the price. I'd take a picture and take that to a jeweler that does custom work and have it made the way you want it.

i think its super cute...ur paying for the name, ^ in platnium prices AND (my fav reason) Charlotte wore this A LOT on sex and the city

like A LOT!...so im sure prices went up after the crazy (ie people came in and asked and asked, and tiff took and took! :)

When I got engaged, DH had to choice between getting a Tiffany ring for double the price and half the size and quality of a white flash diamond, I am so glad he decided to go with white flash. I agree, you are only paying for the name is this case.

You have to be satisfied...

My SO bought a $5,000 necklace from Tiff for his mom once and it just did not feel $5k at all. We went home and sat on it for a day or two but then ultimately decided it wasn't worth the price. It was so generic (could get it elsewhere for less) that it felt like we were being cheated!

They gave him a hard time upon return (I was with him) which I didn't appreciate, but I really really really believe you can't keep something you're unhappy with. It's just not right at all!

I agree, it just doesn't look like that kind of money. However, if I may ask -- what's the difference between having a jeweler copy a Tiffany piece and buying a replica designer bag?
