To the OP, I'll say you really can't compare the Evie to the Bolide, Kelly or Birkin. It's just a totally different animal. It doesn't have the stylistic diversity some of the other bags have -- IMO, the Evie is strictly casual, where the Bolide and others can be dressed up or casual depending on the situation. But the Evelyne is possibly the most carefree H bag (maybe along with the Pico, although even that bag doesn't have a crossbody option), and is one of my most carefree bags, period. I have 2 Kellys but my Evelynes and GPs get more use, TBH.

I am in total agreement here. I LOVE the Evy and yes, she is a casual bag so no need to compare to a bolide and especially to a kelly. No bag hugs the body like a clemence Evy---she is ergonomic for sure.

I'm so glad you started this thread OP! My bag wardrobe is already varied in terms of casual and dressy and casual is my norm so I was thinking another casual bag would be redundant. I've been thinking about an evelyne for a while now, especially when seeing how great it looks on others here. All those who have said it's a great casual workhorse bag are swaying me. I love that I'd be able to use it everyday and even wear to work since it's so understated. I think I'm going to take the plunge!

I'm on vacation and went to a boutique to inquire about what colors were on hand in clemence and they had a lot to choose from. This is my first purchase and I have a boutique at home (no SA though) but does it really matter where I purchase if I'm not trying to pave my road to b/k?

Since not all boutiques receive the same items if you find the perfect Evelyne I encourage you to buy it.

theITbag, since you're not sure if you like the color or not, maybe wait. I saw this color on display when I was looking at prunoir a few days ago and while it was pretty it didn't hold my attention. I prefer a more olive green, but that's just me.

Yeah, I've always loved my H bags when I first wear them. This one I can't tell, but I don't love. Will try to exchange for a different color.
