"Shooting Star" stamp vs. "Celtic Cross" blindstamp

Sorry for asking again, but could someone please repost the pics of the celtic cross stamp? Does it by any chance look like four small batons arranged in the points of a compass with a dot in the center? :shrugs:

[Just tacking this on here where it might come in useful.]

Here are some pics of the Celtic Cross provided by our dear 24, Faubourg (thank you, 24!):

This first shot, taken from seller elitefashion2000; the celtic cross stamp is on the right.

No source for this pic, but the stamp is on the bottom right:

Hi Flossy Figaro,

My kelly also has the stamp with C and a dot inside (same stamp as your last picture). Do you know what does it mean? It's not a celtic cross nor shooting star. Tks!

Hi all, I'm new to tpf and I must say that i'm addicted to it..all the information you all have posted here is just great:tup: Just got a question to ask..is it up to the craftsman who makes the bag how he wants to stamp his ID and the year stamp on the straps of Birkins, Kellys, HACs? I notice from the picture FlossyFigaro posted (thanks for the pic:smile1:) posted of her bag that the stamp is stamped sideways. I've also noticed on a few of my friend's Hermes bags that the craftsman ID was stamped upside down (i.e. you have to turn over strap to read it..hmm am I making sense? haha)

So my question is..does it depend on the craftman's personal preference which direction he wants to stamp his ID? Does any tpf-er have any bag which is stamped "upside down" like my friend's? Also i notice that some bags have the craftsman ID and Year stamp on different sides of the strap; some have both stamps on the left strap, some both on the right strap.

Calling all the Hermes experts in tpf..care to enlighten me? Thanks a lot! :smile1:
