Hi All! After seeing all of these gorgeous pics, I'm trying to decide between the butterfly btf ring and the frivole btf ring and have some questions about sizing. If I'm typically a size 52, should I ask for the same or do I need to size down for these btf rings? Txs so much in advance!
Hello! Both great choices! I am 52 too and found both good in size 52 for my ring finger but o prefer them on middle or pointing (is it how it’s called?) so usually go for 54! Hope it helps

The BTF rings look a little wider to me at least online so I thought I would have to size down for sure, but I guess it depends on where you want to wear it, etc. I'll def try to make time to try them on in person.Hi! I had to size down a size. I am a 53 in Lotus and a 52 in Frivole pave BTF. I wear both on the same finger. The Frivole and Butterfly are open rings, so maybe ask your SA to bring in (or order) both sizes to be sure.
I did that with my Frivole BTF ring, went back and forth between the 52 & 53, and I chose the 52. I wanted to love the 53 as I like loose rings, but it was really loose.
Ironically, I am now doing the exact same thing with the butterfly ring. I am working with my SA to send me both 52 & 53, just to be 100% sure. These rings cannot be sized as I am sure you know.
For what it's worth... my vote goes to the Frivole WG pave BTF ring. That ring is super gorgeous and blingy!

Thanks so much for sharing! This was super helpful. Rings are always so tricky for me and the fact that you have to commit to a finger before you buy is very hard for me. lol.
I am 53 on my index and middle fingers. Both my btf butterfly and frivole rings are 52. I I had to size down on btf rings.
I would try both 51 and 52 sizes.

My SA was able to find the 52, but there is no 53, so I will have to order. In the meantime, I asked him to send me any butterfly BTF ring in 53 so I can try it on and be sure. I hope the 52 fits.

I finally decided on my size, the 53!You are welcome
What drama... I went back and forth with the 52 and 53 for two days, splitting hairs on fit.
The 52 fit me great now, winter, but I know it will be a bit snug in the summer.
The 53 fit me loose now, but I know it will be perfect in the summer and not snug.
I also compared the fit of my Frivole, and the 53 fit more like my Frivole.
Hence I went with the 53. The yellow sapphire in only available 52. The 53 was pink sapphire, so I sent them both back and ordered a 53 in yellow sapphire.

I know you are also deciding on size. As FYI... the Frivole and Butterfly rings do not fit the same. Frivole is looser. The reason is Frivole is more an open ring, about 30% open. Butterfly is a bit more closed, only about 20% open. I have big knuckles, and the knuckles are my issue. I like rings to slide right over, and with the butterfly slight more closed, for me, it fit more like a closed ring which I am a size 53 (e.g. Lotus). If I did not have big knuckles, the 52 would be perfect. Order both sizes to be sure, especially if you have big knuckles like me.
Oh... one more thought to share... I still love love love my WG Frivole BTF ring over the butterfly. The Frivole is the bomb to me.
I would get the Frivole if I were you. It's a super gorgeous ring!
For kicks, I made a flower garden with butterflies buzzing around.
Goooorgeous! I’m so glad you were able to try on both sizes to figure out which one was the perfect fit for the butterflies! With all the stock shortages it’s been so hard to get hold of multiples of the same item especially these BTF rings since my SAs said they would usually only receive one size of each kind per boutique and not reorder until that one was sold. I hope this year I might get lucky and get to try several sizes on to be sure!I finally decided on my size, the 53!

Ask for the same ring, but a different variation. So if you are looking for the YG Frivole BTF, also ask for it in WG Frivole pave. The fit will be the same. That's why my SA sent me the yellow sapphire in 52 and the pink sapphire in 53 as the 53 was not available in the yellow sapphire.
Once you decide on size, you can then order the correct one.
Which BTF ring are you thinking of getting? Let me guess... pink sapphire butterfly!
By the way, on the pink sapphire...
My husband loved loved loved the pink sapphire butterfly. He said the yellow sapphire looks fun, good for casual looks like shorts, but not good for an evening out. He said the pink sapphire has class, for a nice evening out! He's so funny. I told I am not going to get two butterfly rings. I need to get used to one first.
I do love the two separate butterflies floating on my fingers. I kept spreading my fingers to see them floating.
BTW, on the fingers is Rose Horizon. I am ready for spring, can't wait until the weather gets warmer.

The yellow sapphire color really pops on you. Thanks for the info on difference in sizing between the Frivole and butterfly rings. I'm actually a 51.5 but size up to 52 so maybe a 51 will be ok for Frivole but 52 will be better for the butterfly. I still haven't had a chance to make it to the boutique. Another random question. I'm used to wearing a closed ring with even pressure around the finger. Does it bother you at all that the butterfly ring only presses against the sides of your finger and the middle is exposed? Txs!
