Despite trying to commit to making big purchases in conjunction with big events, my self-control seems to have abandoned me in the middle of the night (with three kids) and rode off into the sunset somewhere (I’m thinking Antibes maybe?)…

I was hemming and hawing for a while about which purchase to prioritise between the VCA and some trainers I had my eye on.

I went to see the ring again on Saturday, and it cemented my decision to get it first, as I would be able to wear it every day in comparison to the shoes.

But I wanted to sleep on it, so I told my SA, I would come on Sunday to make my choice! She already had my size in stock, so she put it aside for me.

I came by on Sunday and my SA was so sweet to have some delicious Yann Couvreur pastries waiting for me in one of the private salons! She really knows how to make a boy feel special!

Without further ado, I got myself the final (supposedly) item on my VCA wishlist for a while, the Sweet Alhambra Pave ring in white gold! The sparkle is insane, and the size makes it a perfect everyday piece! You can best believe I will be wearing this lil’ one for at least a month before swapping it out for something else! I am obsessed!

Congratulations! You bring such joy to your purchases and deserve them! The ring, and all your bling, looks wonderful!

A plain little brown box arrived today and I immediately felt let down at the simplicity of that box.

Hopefully, the content is awesome. View attachment 6204709
This is how all my shipments arrive. If it said VCA on the side, it would get stolen otherwise. But inside there should be a fabulous presentation gift box. Let us know what fun treasure you acquired!

You are right - I checked my other photos and realized the items arrive in beaten up brown boxes! I was expecting it to arrive in a luxurious green box, hand tied in a green satin ribbon complete with white embossed paper bag.

The RC sautoir arrived in a larger than life bashed up box ...

whereas the holiday pendant arrived in a small box ...

It does feel like a popmart blind box experience. *Gulp*

I want my expensive items to go through the postal / delivery system as innocuously as possible.

As it is, I had a UPS parcel tampered with, the item (pre-Loved VCA) stolen, and the box resealed. So when I opened the box, the empty jewelry box was all that was there. Luckily, I got my money back.

I’ve had issues with FedEx too. The driver signed for (and made off with) a $60K VCA necklace for a while. I got the necklace after some drama. The package return address had VCA 5th Avenue on it. I think packages sent from 5th Avenue should have a less recognizable return address.

In short, you want the outer box be unrecognizable. The inner packaging is another story.
