Little story here - the first ballerina to arrive was Rose ... A sketch of her was sent and I was asked if I was interested. There was a Q for these masterpieces and people get invited to join the Q. If you are lucky, you get to be first in the Q. If not, you wait for those in front of you to say no and then you get a chance to buy. Rose was out of the world gorgeous.

I didn't win Rose - she was simply too beautiful.

In between, there was the W&W event in Geneva which @Sophie0121 attended. She has become a dear friend and shared tons of photos. I understood from her that the 3 ballerinas and 1 fairy were sold shortly after the event started. My Paris SA told me she sold one before the event started.

2 weeks later, another sketch was sent to me. News of her arrival spread and other boutiques were sending her sketch to their clients. But this time, I was lucky. That's the strange and expensive world of VCA - the pieces choose you.

Thank you for the background story. It makes yours so much more special to have - she did indeed choose you. And I love how yours has the movement of the gems dangling from her hand. Rose is indeed gorgeous, and I can see why she was taken by whoever was earlier in the queue!
