Not really new, but just unboxing and trying on for the first time!
They are all such spectacular pieces, and I'm so glad you went for the starfish in the end. Just the right touch of whimsy, with such a vivid shade!

THAT PIETERSITE, I mean, holy smokes! I'm running out of superlatives, but it is magnificent!

Also, loving the case as well! Uber-practical!

Congratulations what a way to start off in new country.

Dear @Prada Prince - I am amazed at this absolute unicorn you found!!! I’m not in this thread much, but I thought I saw a lovely golden glint at your neck in the H threads  so I rushed over to read your fabulous story (you know you DO write the best luxury stories here). What an absolute stunner this hammered gold piece is, and you wear it so elegantly and so perfectly.

I think it was absolutely meant to be, especially given the whirlwind of changes in your life and just arriving in Dubai. That is one heckuva welcome to Dubai present for yourself!! You look marvelous as you picked this up (I had to giggle as in the pic where that gorgeous necklace was still in its box I could see one toe of your open walks, so I knew it was yours for sure).

Congratulations on finding this stunner, I can’t believe you had the determination to actually put it on hold and wait a whole day!!! And then to wait for its lengthening. Given the fact that the black onyx went straight out of your head you knew it was yours!!

I could not be happier for one of the nicest, most deserving people here. Love your new stunner.:love::love::hugs:
You're always so sweet to me, and it's always lovely to read your kind missives!
Beautiful! Congratulations on your new 10 motif.

Congratulations on hitting the jackpot. Sometimes things are just meant to be. And I’m sure your single pendant will forgive you. ;)
Single pendant? What single pendant?! LOL.

Congratulations on your beautiful new piece @Prada Prince! What better way to celebrate settling into a new country than with a stunning addition to your collection
Thank you all! It truly is the perfect welcome present!

Thank you all so much!

Let me first say, my apologies, my onyx needs to be cleaned, nothing a quick toothbrush won’t fix, but if I crop it out then the photos won’t be helpful.

Unfortunately, the chrysoprase was chipped while adjusting the length in the VCA workshop and now has been in France for about 9 months getting all motifs replaced (as is the requirement)! I hope these photos will do with onyx and rock crystal. Sapphire is very deco also, so maybe the pietersite can stand in. Blue agate will not do, as it would need to be in white metal to be true art deco vibes. I do have a Cartier necklace with amethyst and chrysoprase, so let’s place it here also.

Here are more photos of the box. I don’t really know what more to tell about it, because I did not examine it really. I just placed my jewelery on top of it, which is classic me, and it is also why I just found three pairs of earrings in their boxes under the loveseat near where I keep my wolf trays (placing jewelry cases on top of the wolf trays over time…crack open the wolf tray to retrieve a piece of jewelry…there is a loud sound…but I have 3 young children, so I shrug it off…then earrings are lost for weeks!…and then just found again! A happy ending).

So, it appears to have several compartments, some are removable; for necklace/pendant, for earrings, for rings, for bracelets or a watch. Some others here have this tray and may have more helpful info. When closed, it looks like an XL watch roll.

The only background I have is my pleasant memory of receiving a smaller VCA multipurpose case a little while ago, and though I never am one for SA gifts at all, for some reason such a useful and pretty little utilitarian thing made me so pleased. I had to laugh that I would be moved over a VCA box, but it is just so adorable. That was the PM size and then imagine my delight when I beheld this MM size. I think I was more delighted by the cases than the jewelry! Of course, maybe it is the pleasure of a surprise which really can warm our heart, even as a grown adult.

That Pieterlite stone is amazing omg it looks like cloud formations. Omg they chipped the chrysoprase….i know you were devastated but bright side is you basically get new necklace without paying to replace all the stones. I’m thinking it will look stunning with the rock crystal…can’t wait till it comes back and you post pics. The starfish feels whimsical and that what I love about VCA. Love how you incorporated to the necklace…so fun but serious. The roll is VCA I definitely need one. Gotta tell my SA when I speak yo him.

Yes, ask your SA for the storage box roll! I know you love your bracelet rolls!
So after a long back and forth with VCA, they actually stood their ground and said that I could either take the necklace back with the chip (I had photos and videos before sending it in to show it was not there prior) or could have it repaired and it would be at my cost and need to go to France with a long waiting time. Of course I selected the latter, so it will be about $2500 + tax, but a friend ordered a SO chrysoprase necklace and it was basically double the price of any other stone, including turquoise, and we can see from RDN prices that chrysoprase is off the charts, so I suppose the stone replacement fee is well within bounds. I am very good at waiting, so it is ok.
The Pietersite is truly amazing. It needs to be appreciated in person. It is so Gemini, like us; so dynamic!
I love how VCA has such pretty/girlish pieces, elegant/mature pieces, practical/staple pieces and playful/whimsical pieces. There really is something for everyone.

I can’t believe they damaged your piece and didn’t make it right. To charge you was so wrong. I didn’t even know that stone was still in production. The Pietersite I wish they would make readily available in 10 motif and regular stock. I’m waiting for my SA to try to get me bracelet. Told me to be patient so I’m waiting as usual.
You’re so right it’s something for everyone and I still can’t decide which is my favorite whimsical, elegant or practical/staple.

This seems to be the new normal; as some members here were charged for replacing diamonds on fairly new pieces! Cartier after care service is so much better, but as each house has special pieces to offer, I am still here! Chrysoprase Alhambra is not in production, but this was a VVIP SO from Switzerland where somehow they seem to get the most amazing SOs approved and the best pieces in stock, still the client waited 2 years for approval and the SO price was completely unbelievable, it came out to over $2.4k for *each* chrysoprase motif AFTER the SO markup calculation was deducted. It was not my SO and not shared here, so I don’t want to give the specifics of the item, but that made me feel very, very content with only paying ~$250 per motif x10 to replace/repair.
I wish there were more 10 motif options also! I would love a 10 motif alternating pave other than malachite and a 10 motif alternating guilloche/carnelian!
