I have the yg guilloche pendant which I got about three years ago. I own lots of other VCA pieces and after lusting after it for so long strangely it’s the piece I wear least. I had it extended to 18” so wear it slightly longer and tend to wear it with my onyx pendant and bracelet, rarely on its own. It hasn’t scratched particularly so still looks good but I’m not as in love with it as much as my other pieces. I think actually that Alhambra pieces are more eye-catching when they are set with stones as it makes the gold beading pop. I’m tempted to sell my guilloche pendant and put the money towards the blue agate bracelet but equally it is a good piece to wear on holiday by the pool as it is solid gold and I can swim in it! On another note, regarding the bracelet size, all my Alhambra bracelets have been too big so have had four links taken out of all of them. I would agree with the person who said not to let the clover dangle as a) it is more likely to get damaged and b) the bracelet wasn’t designed to look that way. You wouldn’t know mine had been altered as they take the links out from near the clasp. Hope some of this helps!

Yes, you are right the guilloche isn’t has eye-catching. More subtle and a compliment to other pieces. Thanks for sharing your thoughts.

If you have both the vintage guilloche pendant and a vintage mop pendant, do you find the guilloche is heavier and does not move around as much as the mop?
I have the mop, onyx and guilloche pendants. The guilloche is heavier than the onyx and mop but not hugely so. To be honest I haven’t noticed any of them moving around so I wouldn’t say it was something to consider when purchasing; the weight difference is not dramatic. I had my guilloche extended so I could layer it with either of the other pendants and they sit nicely together and stay central. Hope this helps.

Thank you for the reply. My gmop necklace moves around unless it’s on the long length, so I initially decided not to get any more vintage pendants, but tempted to get guilloche.

I am in need of your advice. Please help. I ordered guilloche 10 motif YG and was told that will need to wait 4+ months. still on month 2. I have no issue with sparkling aspect and I’m not planning to wear my piece to gym. However, I’m having doubts about it thinking I may get tired of it. I have two YG 5 motifs in mind next and MOP. And I am thinking of eventually adding yg pace vintage earrings.y thoughts are maybe to with 10 motif onyx instead. I have blonde hair and only stands out in me. But then again guilloche he is very pretty and unique. Thoughts?

I am not a fan of the business vca is doing with the payment and endless wait but you are on month 2 and I think guilloche is worth the wait. I have the pendant and bracelet amongst other vca and I always look forward to wear it after wearing other pieces. But tbh I prefer pendant and bracelet it's more versatile than ten motif for me.

I think they have a new marketing tactics which, to be honest, is very annoying. I do think that the bracelet is more practical. However, I want to buy my first 10 motif. I think I can wear it as a bracelet too. Thank you for your response. Thank your response, it’s great to know that you look forward to wearing your guilloche pieces ❤️

Onyx would really pop against your blond hair

I like the onyx, too. The color contrast is beautiful! It may sound weird, I can see the fingerprints on the onyx, it low key irks me. When light reflects off of it, it temporarily makes the stone look superficially dull. I know this is minor, can anyone relate?
